The thing I've liked the most about the Bose I had was the very solid and yet somehow lightweight build. They're also very comfortable.
And weight. I have the APM as well and while I love them across the board they are rather heavy. I've gotten accustomed to it after 6 months, but you can never really forget they're on your head.USB-C and a proper case are the only things to me that other headphones have over AirPods Max.
Have not had an issue since my release day unit. They are battered though, been through hell and back. I was looking to upgrade to the Bose N700 but was holding fire for AirPods Max. Got them, hated them. Back to QC35.Do any other previous QC35 owners have the dreaded power switch failure? Mine failed and the headphones would turn themselves on regardless of switch state and drain the battery. I replaced them with AirPods Max as soon as those were released and haven’t looked back.
I'm not the person you were responding to, but a more "modern" design would eliminate (or greatly alter) the curve from the earpiece body to the ear pad, as this detail is unnecessary, would flatten the outside of the earpiece (see Sony's design, for example), and would deemphasize the logos (which themselves are rather dated). In short, there is a fair amount that could be done to these if style is a priority. (You're not wrong about the headband, either, but it's a different product at that point.)I have the first gen QC35. I can't say that I have really thought that these look outdated. I mean I wear them on my head and only time I really see them briefly is when putting them on/taking off. But I guess they could maybe make the headband slimmer or make it in a mesh material á la AirPods Max. But then again I'm no designer so what do I know. 😅 Do you have any suggestions how to make them more modern?
Huh, so not just me then…. Good to know.I hope they fixed the on/off switch which tends to go bad over time.
