Things like that happen all the time.
Mistakes during ordering, Shipping info not matching billing address, credit card/debit card or other payment situations came up and get your order cancelled and so on.
And in the end its all blamed on the company who's taking your order when in many cases its not really their fault for your mishap. :D
 
This is NOT true. I had my 6 plus sent to another address that was NOT the address on file on the ATT account and this year, I was able to change the address to another shipping addy not used on the ATT account.....using Apple.

I needed it shipped to an address other than my billing address, so what I did was to go to Verizon and change my billing address to the address I wanted it shipped to, bought the phone from Apple, then after the order went through, changed my billing address back with Verizon. I have no idea if I actually needed to do this, but I wanted to head off any trouble during the ordering process. Verizon only checks the billing address when it tries to charge my card for my monthly bill, so the change went through without a problem.

I'm the tiniest bit worried this may cause issues when it actually goes to ship, but I can't see why – I would assume the address only gets checked with Verizon at time of purchase. Furthermore, I'm buying the phone outright with no carrier subsidy, so I can't see what they would even have to check with my carrier.
 
Anyone else order from Verizon's website and get an order confirmation email but NOT have any charges or pending charges on their bank account? Making me nervous!

I think this is normal. When I order from Apple, they don't charge anything to the card until they actually go to ship out the phone. It would be a little weird to change the card at least a week before the phones will even ship - just makes changes and cancellations needlessly complicated.

Hoping you are right. I had just seen some posts of others saying they had a $1 pending charge, which is supposedly to ensure that the account is real that then gets updated later. I don't have that, but I'm hoping maybe it depends on the bank or something! Thanks for responding. I'm going a little nuts (hopefully for no reason)
 
My order had the wrong billing address. I called the Apple customer service yesterday and had them change the billing address to the correct address. Received the confirmation email 5 minutes later. However, when I log into my account either through the Apple app or apple store online the billing address has not been updated. Anyone else have their address updated but still not showing up correctly when your review your order through the online account or Apple store app?
 
Same deal for me. I'm gonna give them a call in a bit and find out if there's any risk here, and if so, if I cancel and immediately re-order (I qualify for an upgrade). I'm a bit afraid of canceling though because knowing my luck, it'll take a day to recognize that I don't have an upgrade order in, and by the time I'm able to order again, there will be shipping delays.

I would definitely call again. I had the same thing happen and when I called a second time, Apple had no indication that the address had been updated and had to update it again. What you're seeing online needs to be the right address. When Apple made the changes a second time, they appeared on the order status page within seconds.
 
I had the same thing happen to me. I just called apple, they fixed my shipping address and sent a confirmation email within a minute. It was a very easy process. :)
 
I just called apple and they changed my shipping address to my billing address! YAY. Originally it was shipping to my parents address because I am under their account but live in a different city. I am with AT&T and it worked, but only via calling apple directly.
 
I just got off the phone with Apple. He put me on hold and came back and he said as long as you are a current AT&T customer and not a new customer, they will make a one time exception and change the shipping address to a different address then the billing address. He changed mine to my work address and it was immediately changed in the order status.
 
im on AT&T and needed to change my shipping address too.
Online chat told me at&T could not do it.
called 1800MYAPPLE and they changed it without any hesitation.

happy now!
