Go to an auto parts store. They always have a pretty good selection of metric-sized bolts. I can also find them sometimes at Lowe's, but Home Depot apparently denies the existence of metric sizes.

Okay...

Just FYI this TV is a STEAL!! Although only 720p (shows 1080i for my ps3) this was only 700 bucks at best buy... If you want a big tv and dont mind sacrificing a few pixels I say DO IT!

PS: you people are freaks...lol

The same thing happened to the Challenger before it blow up.

I honestly don't know why in America we have not started pushing away from the "Standard" system. Metric makes a lot more sense. It's logical.

You mentioned 1/4 and 5/16, and that to me seems to be a real trouble spot, because well both the 1/4 and the 5/16 seem to fit, but it's metric.

Metric is base 10. Imperial I think is Base 3 and base 6?

Now you just have to center the fireplace.

Looking at your tool working skillz in this thread, should be an interesting thread.

Sort of like reading about a real life Tim Taylor. :D :p

I KNOW. Now you got me started. I ALWAYS complain to people how they just shoved the fireplace over and made it left justified like that. OCD!!! Not to mention the placement of the studs, so I had no choice...

Whew! I was about to ask...given your previous tool knowledge, that you did at least mount the thing to studs!

You guys suck! lol. That was funny though. :p

Ya know, you can always take the chuck of the drill and tighten it around something like a screw, and put it in reverse and get it out that way...

You know, after 2 hours of trying last night and then getting into bed I suddenly had that idea and jumped up, only it kept losening itself back up. My drill is only a $60 one though so I'm sure it doesn't have much (torque?)

so...
Lesson of the day.
If the screw won't fit properly, its the wrong one.

this only works if you have a keyed chuck.
if you don't know what one is, you don't have it.
o btw, i have done this once, but seriously this is ghetto.
i mean, if anyone who knows anything about tools see's you doing this, they will laugh there a#$ off.
