They did, i have a clasic mbp that last around 3-4 hours and brand new in 2011 it last me around 6 hours
I also had the2013 late mbp that last me no more then 7 hours, and now the 2017 last me 9h and if i put my brightness at around 60% (wich translate in 75% level of last gen) i get 10h and 15 min. Everything here is in light usage and 15" models
So from 6h to 10h in 3 generations is not a battery life increase?
thanks

The only problem with the 2015 model is (if you've compared it to the 2016/2017) once you have had it for a few weeks you will suddenly realize it is heavier, wider, longer, the colors not as vibrant, contrast display not as good, lots of light leakage from the keys, no Touch ID so typing in passwords constantly and worse battery life compared to current model. These things may not matter to some but the 2016/2017 creates a better user experience and they matter greatly to me.

For me all that was worth it to get a keyboard I could type on.
I use the keyboard on these machines for 6 to 8 hours every day Mon through Friday.
It's gotta be good.
I returned mine and went back to the Macbook air, but also got a Lenovo X1 Carbon.
No regrets. Plus it's very fun to have the two OS's to go back and forth on.
The X1 keyboard is a master piece.
