Exactly. So why would they invest money in significantly updating a trusted product that's already recouped it's R&D costs and that's going to be flying off the shelves for the next two months anyway?
Maybe there's a Product Red one in one of the boxes or something.

Everyone will be disappointed whatever is in the box... as usual...![]()
No. Ditching a perfectly good, established & paid-for design that's still raking in the cash is no way for a company like Apple.for a company like apple..pushing higher and higher is the only way.

but with a "old" cpu and graphics card? and with such heavy laptop compared to its size? honestly, apple will loose a lot of customers (and loosing) to xps 1330. mac osx is good, but its not everything people want to get.![]()
I don't know if I'm right about this, but the day Leopard came out, when all of the people were going into the store and the employees were cheering, a couple of employees were screaming, "New MacBooks" when the UPS guy came through. I thought they were just kidding, but were they?
maybe we will see FlashBook/pros soon????
Don't count on a flash book pro anytime soon. Look at the price of the iPhone and iPod Touch which is only 8gig and 16gig. 120 gig flash would cause the prive of the laptop to double.
NOT HAPPENING....sry

Time will tell, but I'll be completely surprised if a consumer portable is announced in January. That would make no sense at all to me.Steve will be saving any major laptop updates (aluminium, touch screen, ultra-thin, magic trackpad, gold-plated, whatever) for the Expo in January.
I don't know about flash-based, but a smaller than 13 inch portable is about all that I can see possibly occurring in January. The new refreshed MacBooks released today won't see an update though.January is when they will announce the flash based tiny Macbooks to go along side the current range of Macbooks speedbumped in November.
I am 90% certain that they would not update the macbooks now or in November, only to give them a new case redesign again at Macworld. That just doesn't make sense.
And for all of you complainers about the 13" form factor. The macbooks are actually the same width as the 14" macbooks due to the enormous waste of space to the sides and the top of the screen frame. I doubt they would ever go 12" again but rather shave off that extra frame, making it feel like a true 13".
The MBP 15" is not much wider and deeper ffs! (Which is why I have ordered one.)
The thing is there won't be a case redesign at Macworld. That wouldn't make sense, so why do you think that? Now that these refreshed MacBooks are released as expected, that will be it for MacBook's until April or May now.I am 90% certain that they would not update the macbooks now or in November, only to give them a new case redesign again at Macworld. That just doesn't make sense.
I agree with you. I prefer the 12" without the glossy screen.I'd wish they'd introduce the 12" again
The 13" is small, compared to a 15" MBP, ut it just doesn't feel small enough!
Anyone with me?
