The X3100 is definitely low-end, but it's a solid improvement over the GMA 950 graphics that macbooks used up until today.
Who would want one? Well the GMA 950 macbooks were selling pretty well, even though some of us couldn't justify buying a machine with GMA 950. Now that it has X3100, I might want one.
I would definitely want an X3100-equipped macMini.
