This just proves how competitively priced Airpods are. A charging case and the W1 chip should definitely add more cost than a couple volume buttons.

I agree. No "Apple Tax" with the AirPods; the pricing is just fine.

Overall, AirPods seem more compelling than these. I do wish one could play/pause/skip with button presses, though. Siri is not an option in many (most?) day-to-day situations.

I have these, the Dash, and AirPods. Or, I did have the AirPods before I returned them. The Bragi Headphone is by far the best of the 3.

-Sound great
-Much for functional than AirPods (Can control volume, transparency, Siri, pause and play from the unit)
-Much better connectivity than Dash (I use Dash with its 4gb internal drive for music when I run, don't need to being my phone which I hate)
-I don't love the look of half the AirPod hanging out of my ear.

The Headphones are well worth the $150.

I got the Headphones as well. My only issue was the tips. The Comply tips work great but seem sticky.

I also bought the Dash, the Headphones, and the AirPods and I came to the opposite conclusion. I returned the Bragi products and kept the AirPods.

The Dash and Headphones sound quality is completely odd -- a lack of mids, and what sounds to me like a lot of added reverb. The AirPods sound way better to me, they fit better, and the battery life and case are great. :)

I haven't used and Bragi products, but I am very surprised at your comment on sound quality. I always assumed they'd win that battle over the AirPods. Personally I don't think the AirPods quality is as bad as people make it sound. I think it's fairly well-balanced, albeit far from perfect. I've always liked how Apple's cheap buds seem to bring out vocals fairly well, which get a little lost with a lot of other sets.

Serious questions. How is the mic on the Bragi? I find the AirPods to be very good. Can the Bragi be used with just one bud while charging? Is there an optional charging case for them?

The AirPods sound way better to me, they fit better, and the battery life and case are great. The Headphones buttons are HORRIBLE and borderline unusable (too stiff & you have to press them into your ear). With the AirPods, you just pop one out to pause. A light double tap on the AirPods and Siri pops up. And the Headphones don't even have a charging case. Sure the AirPods look a little goofy, but people know what they are -- I get stopped on the street, at work, at the gym, and people ask about them -- and sometimes flirt a little. Hey, thanks AirPods! :D

I think the Dash has potential -- but even though it had a big head start to the market, it was a total technological failure. It'll be interesting to see if they can fix the problems and keep developing the product -- it will do a lot that AirPods can't. But in my opinion, the Headphones are a joke. It's subjective though. Do what we did, buy them both, and keep what you prefer. :)

Thanks much for sharing some of your real world experiences with these!

The off putting things for me about the Apple design are the open design that doesn't isolate enough to make a good or great soundstage. In addition many ears don't work with the mounting on the outside of the ear canal, and when lying on the side these tend to fall out for me. Adding a missing convenience for the precision and speed of the button remote we enjoy on Apple's cables for 15 years and it's a no-go for me.
These Bragi headphones at least have some dedicated buttons although some users already commented they were not better to muse either.

Subjective. I find the buttons quite easy to use. And so nice to have when changing tracks or volume frequently.

Maybe he should have said they have buttons to change tracks. Geez

I am not sure why our conversation is stressing you out. I simply reminded paco that all opinions are subjective. This refers directly to the first part of his earlier reply.
Please let me know if you need me to clarify this further for you.

Aren't you in this thread to get reviews and opinions of the product?

And all opinions are subjective. I appreciate yours, but that doesn't change the fact it is another subjective part, same thing you remarked up on in my earlier post.

I have no idea where you are going with this. You commented that some had said the buttons were not good. I simply commented that that is subjective, not a universal opinion, and I find them easy to use. No need to debate this.

Pretty soon there will be quite a few ear buds like these on the market. One upcoming product is this Kickstarter from an established UK earphone company:

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/157887895/worlds-first-tuneable-wireless-earbuds

I joined the Phantom Airs project when the entry fee was £90, which amounted to less than USD110 at the time (though actual retail price is supposed to be £150 once made available). These are scheduled for release this month so we'll see how they work out.

Pretty ironic that I listened to that Betamax Commercial with my AirPods in and said to myself "there was never this much bass in Betamax tapes." The AirPods are simply perfect for me. I can't imagine fiddling with little buttons like I'm digging for treasure in my ears. Sound is great, the fit well in my ears with no irritation. Since I have an AppleWatch, volume has never been a problem for me, Digital Crown does that for me. I'm sure they'll do pretty well, but don't try to trash AirPods in your promotional material, because you'll look like those copycat scoundrels Samesung. For my money, $10 bucks for iCloud integration and magical music that follows me around my devices in well well worth it.

I said some people commented on the buttons. To which you responded by summarising my comment as subjective. Any opinion is though, as I have tried to make you understand now repeatedly.

Pre-ordered the Headphones back when they were first announced for $119 and got them recently. Unfortunately, they're being returned to Bragi. I think they fit fine, sound adequate for what I'm using them for, and don't drop connectivity on me. The button controls are too fiddly and uncomfortable to use and that's probably the deal breaker for me. Would be nice if the case also charged them like the Dash, but I always have a power bank with me so that's not really an issue. Shame they didn't make the Headphones with the touch controls of the Dash. Maybe the next revision.

Can't get on board with the AirPods. One they look ridiculous and two, the normal EarPods sounds terrible and don't block outside sounds (like in-ear headphones with a good seal).
