My fiancée has a small crack in the corner of her iPhone 6. She doesn't mind it (mainly because she doesn't want to pay to have it fix again), but it certainly would bother the heck out of me. But it's her phone.

I really do get why iP6/6+(S) get crack marks. For anyone that don't have big hands, they're really easy to drop.

I have big hands and I figured it would be easier for someone with smaller hands. I personally do not like the thinness, I prefer a case. It's not the width but the thinness. The thinness to someone with small hands seems much thinner to someone with large hands. I would prefer they are a little thicker, otherwise I need a case to hold it well.

I've never once cracked a phone screen or dented a phone or anything more than a few light scratches.. I've never used screen protectors and never used a case longer than a month. I'm guessing this is pure luck as I have dropped my phones in the past.

Past phones include every iPhone since the 3G and various Blackberry/Android devices.

I broke a motorola some time ago, quite a while before smart phones. It's the only one I went to Howard Forums to try and

My 5s fell screen down out of a selfie stick on a rocky beach on rocks on pch north of Santa Barbara. It was like a bad dream but when I picked it up the screen protector was gouged. Seems like the Mophie case protected the phone and the screen protector did its job. Got lucky. The screen didn't didn't crack falling onto rocks was surprised.

Well, that was your problem right there!

Get s case if you want. Or don't.

Repair your cracked screen when it cracks. Or don't.

In my eyes it's really that simple. I'm not effected by what others decide to do. I too have seen people use phones with cracked screens, be it by choice or necessity.

We have some friends visiting who are truck drivers and one of them drops his phone constantly. I think I've seen him drop it a dozen times since he's been here and it's been three days. No case. No cracks but definite scuffs. He doesn't want a case, we even offered to give him one of ours. He says he'll just pay for a replacement if anything happens. His prerogative.

I've never broken or cracked any of my iPhones. Depending on what I'm wearing I sometimes don't use a case at all on my 6S Plus and it's fine. Some people are just careless with their devices.

Sprint iPhone 6+. Dropped it the one and only time on asphalt. Landed face down. The screen protector was unscathed but the screen broke (why the hell did I have a screen protector for then?!!!) :(

This was the first and only time I have broken a screen in the 7 and a half years I have owned a smartphone.

Replacement was $135. Apple replaced the entire phone for the cost of the screen repair. Traded that phone in to T-Mobile for my 6s+ when we ported out of Sprint.

As you can see it got it hits to the edge of the glass of the phone. No protection on that area.

Was that a plastic or glass protector?

I use the glass protector which covers the whole screen.

It was glass. Zagg InvisibleShield HDX. I got as a freebie when I upgraded from my iPhone 5 to my (then) iPhone 6+. I don't normally use screen protectors but since it was a freebie I did this time. I don't fault Zagg as this was entirely my fault.

I have an iPhone5 and I use either battery extension or slim cases and a tempered glass screen protector on it so they are as thin and functional as possible.

I hadn't used anything like that for my iPads until my iPad rMini developed a phantom crack on one of the corners with no noticeable other damager or scratches anywhere...apple wanted $199.00 to repair it (by swapping it to me with a refurb and only a 90 day warranty) so for $10 off amazon I put a tempered glass screen protector over it and now you can barely see the 5 small cracks in the upper right corner (and the whole screen still works fine)!
