Hmmm, considering a vast portion of those apps are crap, or simple little games that you play for 2 days then get bored of, I would actually call it the 'crap' store.

Say 90% of them are crap... That still gives you 10k more apps on the iPad that are quality or useful over anyone else.

By the way it is not like the android marketplace for phones has some kind of higher quality ratio than the app store. In fact some people would say that the overall quality of apps in the android marketplace is worse than the app store.

So having lower quality apps and a tiny fraction to boot.. well it is not even a reasonable discussion to have.

Functionally though, there's not so much missing on Android anymore. You can get Pandora, Kindle/Nook, Slingplayer, MLB At Bat, Angry Birds (albeit with ads), Comcast came out with an Xfinity app, even Sonos will release a controller soon. The biggies would have to be Netflix and Hulu Plus. That I would miss.

For God's sake, can SOMEBODY answer this?

I've browsed on a v2 in the apple store, and it smokes my v1 on wifi, even after upgrading iOS on it.

Is the same true with a 3g connection? Is the v2 faster on the same 3g connection, or will the slower data connection nullify any speed difference between the two?

Thanks.
