I found a wallpaper setting BUG.. on my 5s
(even after reset, and redownload iOS 8 the bug stays)
When you want to set a new wallpaper, and choose: wallpaper/choose a New Wallpaper/ and then choose any picture from your photo-albums
(wanting to use a part of them)
Pictures shot with the 5s (or uploaded from my Mac, a.k.a. 4K res and even up to almost 6K res pictures)
I 'Can' zoom in... but as soon as you start to zoom in, the picture's res (which is much higher than the retina-screen of my 5s) doesn't zoom in with it? Instead they become BLURRED!
On iOS 7 those large-res pics zoomed in fine, and then stopped zooming just before they became unsharp..
(you could set parts of those pictures as your background in sharp-detail.)
But now ...on iOS 8, as soon as you start to zoom-in into 'any picture', inside the set-wallpaper setting, they now no-longer stay pixel-sharp, but become blurred.
---and even weirder, when you open those same (or any) pictures in the PHOTOS app, they DO zoom in pixel-sharp without problem.!???? 😕😕
--and the official ios 8 stills are no-longer capable to zoom in---
Anyone else notice this on their device (iphone or iPad)
