The moon before noon. :(

That would be a great name for a pub.

Anyone have any issues with spotlight search? I was finding (I've gone back to 7.1.2 on my 4S) that the results were taking ages to populate if at all. As I have more than 400 apps on my phone this was one of my main ways of navigating.

I found a wallpaper setting BUG.. on my 5s
(even after reset, and redownload iOS 8 the bug stays)

When you want to set a new wallpaper, and choose: wallpaper/choose a New Wallpaper/ and then choose any picture from your photo-albums
(wanting to use a part of them)

Pictures shot with the 5s (or uploaded from my Mac, a.k.a. 4K res and even up to almost 6K res pictures)

I 'Can' zoom in... but as soon as you start to zoom in, the picture's res (which is much higher than the retina-screen of my 5s) doesn't zoom in with it? Instead they become BLURRED!

On iOS 7 those large-res pics zoomed in fine, and then stopped zooming just before they became unsharp..
(you could set parts of those pictures as your background in sharp-detail.)

But now ...on iOS 8, as soon as you start to zoom-in into 'any picture', inside the set-wallpaper setting, they now no-longer stay pixel-sharp, but become blurred.
---and even weirder, when you open those same (or any) pictures in the PHOTOS app, they DO zoom in pixel-sharp without problem.!????:confused:

--and the official ios 8 stills are no-longer capable to zoom in---

Anyone else notice this on their device (iphone or iPad)

Bug in migrating iPhoto pictures to Photo. Crashed during the migrate and now every time I try and run the main Photo app it crashes. I can't get access to any of my photos now.

1) maps still has the settings bug where you cannot select kilometres, it will always jump back to miles

2) music usage now is messed up. If you play a song you bought on iTunes it downloads while you listen to it, like with ios7. However music does not show in usage so you cannot clear space if you listened to alot of songs. You also cannot delete these songs manually in the music app because the app still shows the cloud button to download next to it (thinking it hasn't beend downloaded yet)

If you download a song manually in the music app via the cloud button, you can delete it from the music app. It will also show music in usage like it used too but than trying to click on it crashes the settings app every time.
This sucks if you are low on space since you have to manually re download all the songs you listened too. Than you can delete them but only in the music app, since usage doesn't work for music (songs downloaded while listening) or crashes it (songs downloaded manually).

3) there are defiantly some slight performance issues here and there.

I've noticed some GUI issues in Messaging and mail.

In messaging, I sent a TXT (not an iMessage) to someone. They replied back, but at the top of the screen it was stuck on "Sending..." even though it had obviously sent it.

In email, when I turned to landscape mode, the screen did not render correctly. Turning back to portrait fixed it and now it seems fine.

So far, just little things.

Skimming through this thread is exactly why I always wait a month or longer to switch over to the new iOS. Always bugs upon bugs that are gonna get fixed, so I'd rather just download it once it's fixed up. Glad yall are out there biting the bullet for me though.

Serious issue with WiFi

I have update iPad air and iPhone 5S to iOS 8 today and noticed that if my iPad air connects to 5Ghz network WiFi doesn't work while iPhone and Mac on 2.4Ghz works fine. Router Apple base express station.

Edit: seems that problem was with Safari because all other apps were accessing internet and closing and opening Safari fixed...

I've noticed the same! It's pretty shocking. It means that photos shot with my 5s look awful if I want to set them as my wallpaper. :(

Tons of graphical glitches on my 4S. Too many to even list and spread throughout native and third party apps.

Well, that's pretty much a whole separate section of issues almost specifically for 4S basically (similar to how it was for 4 with iOS 7.0).

iPad Air In Landscape

I'm seeing a few rendering issues with the keyboard on an Air locked in landscape using the iOS 8 update of apps, up to now I've found:

- the edit bar in DayOne intrudes on the entry list ( it sits above the keyboard / predictive list )
- the password entry box is hidden in 1Password and the Safari extension
- the keyboard hides fields in the Add Server pane in Transmit.

I've also found iBooks keeps flipping in and out of dark mode.

On iPhone 4S,

I have "Create" button on "Now playing page" even I have both disabled iTunes Radio and iTunes Genius.

When I mark words by letters on Safari (not paragraph) page start scrolling up or down according to mark direction (right or left).

When I reply to phone call, ringtone continuing playing about 2 seconds.

Randomly I get noticed "Unable to Download Item".
