Marware is now shipping their Sportgrip edge cases in black and white. I'm really interested in these because I'm looking for blue and/or red and they actually have them. If anyone orders one can you post a review please?

Thank you for the updated Tech21 pics! Glad to see there's more colors other than the blue. I'm definitely set on getting either the pink or white. Not too fond of the green color for some reason.

And I agree with everyone else on that Arkwhat Brick case. OMFG. :eek:

Is there a back to the scosche bumpers? Looks like in in some of the pics in that thread. What I'm wondering about the scosche is whether or not an sgp leather skin guard will fit under it, is it rubber that will stick to my jeans pockets, and can I put side skin guards on under.

I ordered a red one on June 18th before they changed the render picture to a translucent intead of opaque bumper. I hope it isn't as hideous as the picture looks. It will be keeping my iFrogz case company in the drawer if it is!

Scosche has other cases with a back to them, but their "bumper" case is just that, a bumper that covers the edge only. The raised surface does protect the back by not let it touch when you set the iPhone 4 down, but that's it. Good thing is no worries about the case getting in the way of the camera or flash. If you're careful with your iPhone a bumper seems like a nice alternative to a full case. If you drop your iPhone a lot, get an Otterbox. :)

I'm hoping someone will test this out with the leather skin guard, too. I'm afraid to buy it and then find out it doesn't work with the Scosche case. Having to wipe fingerprints from both sides of the phone is kind of annoying! It'd be nice to have the leather back.
 
The iLuv Edge silicone case is now called Boxy and received some changes in the design.

My mate just bought me the Gear4 IceBox Edge round, a clear plastic back with white sides. It fits like a glove, all the openings are in the right place, and all my connectors fit perfectly, from OEM apple to my griffin car charger.

The only thing i had to do was use a black Sharpie to colour in the edge of the flash opening, as it produced a weird effect with the flash, and you can't see the colouring in i did, and all in all a pretty good case for £18 :)
 
Looks like the colored Marware Sportgrip Edge cases are shipping now - only 31 days after I ordered mine! Time to be disappointed if it does indeed look like the "new" rendering!

Does anyone else find it extremely frustrating how few pictures manufacturers are providing for these cases? The edge of this case, for example, looks like it might completely block the proximity/light sensors:

But without any front shot, it's hard to know for sure.

And where is the top view? If they're blocking the proximity sensor, I wouldn't put it past them to also be blocking the second mic near the headphone jack (something a lot of case manufacturers seem to be doing). I mean, has anyone seen a top view of the Tech21 case everyone seems to like so much? Is there any way of knowing whether it blocks the mic?
 
The iluv one is absolute rubbish. I put it on my phone, looked nice enough, put my phone in my handbag and pulled it out 10 minutes later and it changed from black to spotty white from a tissue that was in a different section of my bag. Washed the bumper but it was still had lint stuck to it

So it's iLuv's fault you have a dirty purse? Rub it with an anti-static cloth.
 
It's a shame there seem to be very few in cool colors. I really like the light blue Apple bumper but since it's unavailable it would be nice to find an alternative.

Will hopefully be arriving tomorrow along with my iPhone 4! I'll post pics etc if anyone is interested.

A bumper is the only sort of case I really want, I quite like the look and as far as I can see the vast majority of other cases out there cause problems with the flash etc. I'm going to order an Apple one through the case scheme as well, but the one I'm really holding out for is the one from Tech 21.

If I don't like any of them I'll just go naked.
 
original bumper

em nice posting of all the 'bumpers' out there. but i still think the best bumper is the original apple bumper. it fits perfectly and hard shell and soft silicon hybrid is awesome. when you put it onto your iphone it looks like it is a part of the phone not like a case.
