At first glance I read Burberry as Blackberry. That would make for a funny headline.

LOL at the hate in this thread. Aren't we the ones who buy $1,000+ laptops? I buy Burberry perfume, why? Because it smells good. It does cost about $100 a bottle, but it's my favorite, and I can find it cheap on Amazon. I have some other designer perfume that is cheaper, but the scent sucks and I never wear it.

Should people be buying clothes that are $200-1,000 in price? I think a good trench coat, a pair of boots, and a good wallet and handbag go a long way. If you pick a good brand that is and understand the material you're buying and take care of it. I know people who are still using the same designer bag they bought a decade ago.

Save up every year and get a few nice things... I see absolutely no issue in that. We have pots and pans from almost 25 years ago that cost $1,000 and we're still using them.

I don't see anything wrong in the iPhone 5S being used this way. It's better than it being in forgettable music videos and TV shows.

Well stated, albeit I favor Patagonia standup shorts and rugby shirts, good brands are often the most economical purchases a person can make. I feel no less about Apple.

Unfortunately they will only end up posting the best of the best pics I'm sure... So while the posted photos and videos may look real good, I'm sure there will be plenty more that we never see.

That's how all professional shoots are, no?

Not in Japan. It's an incredibly hot brand here, and this marketing coup will not go unnoticed by Japanese fashion hounds. I imagine the same is true in many other countries in the world. Good move by Apple.

Yikes, the nova check is so played out.

Burberry and LV are borderline dead in Taiwan and I know their sales are dropping in China.

Damn! i thought iPhone 5s wasnt up for preorders

Now they gonna use it for a Fashion show:mad::mad:

If this will increase the time frame for me getting my iPhone5s after placing the order - not fair!

What an odd thing to say??

Even a professional photographer with a DSLR doesn't showcase his worst pictures.

So? Just because you can take (presumably) great pictures with the 5S, that doesn't mean you cannot take bad ones.

Exactly... my SLR is a pretty expensive rig and has taken some impressive shots. Usually I'll intentionally take a LOT (hundreds/thousands) out of which 20/30 will look stunning.

Admittedly I'm no professional but a good camera doesn't do all the work in selecting a scene, setting it up and having the skills to make the most of it.

Well. Mock all you like. But Apple aren't as dumb as it seems.
The new iPhone 5C looks cheap yes? Tacky yes? Chavvy? Ok. We all agree. Good.

But. Burberry. Cheap looking? Tacky? Chavvy? Now do you see? ,

Not so daft now are we?

Likewise, I rarely post on this forum, because stating the obvious is a pointless objective.

Or, conjecture-wise, you might expect Apple/Burberry to post the worst pictures that were taken.

iPod stunts with Bono.

Good one. You got me there. For once the reality distortion guy got caught there by another master in that art (Bono).

That being said, I do not want to diss the 5S. It's a solid update. I just think the gold color option would have been a no go in the past (and for good reasons, too).
