He hasn't told me the name. He has, via Skype, possibly phone, and video chatting. They also want him to come there to discuss further. What is the name of this 40-store Polish chain?
Edit: and have either you or your brother tried contacting the owner of that chain directly and not via a number the ex-security-guard provided?
As others have stated, no, this is real.I have come to the conclusion that squilly is just messing with us.
I know there's a sucker born every minute, but in this case, it just can't be possibly true.
So, there, squilly, congrats, you fooled all of us.

Little bit: profits are a bit steeper on the iPhone than they are on the iPad. I'm not sure of numbers exactly, but iPhone has ~$30 more profit to them. They're unlocked, so $650 directly from the Apple store. I was with him when he bought a sample, paid in cash, at an Apple store to send to the security guard whom was sending it to Europe (pretty sure he was headed there anyways). You are welcome. A little illustration:
The iPod touch 5g 32GB costs 329 at the premium reseller here in Slovakia. I bought mine in the US for cca 259, when I was on visit there. This is to see, how more expensive it is.
Now let's assume the prices in SVK and Poland are the same (in fact, I would say they are even lower since Poland is a bigger market, you sell more etc.). Let's say you get the iPod for 200 from Apple as a official seller. Add cca 8% US sales tax, 23% polish VAT, 12,5 % brother's profit, cca 20% polish profit, cca 5 fees like transportation per unit etc. I get 363.
It simply does not add up for me.
BTW: if you spot any mistake in my calculations or assumptions please correct me.
I don't know why he's a security guard. Maybe he wanted to go to the US to find other work and be a partner in a large chain? Also, the security guard didn't ask him, my brother did. His business was very prevalent throughout the school, to the point of administrators thinking it was illegal before he struck deals with others (teachers, security, etc.)So Squilly are you in on this deal?
Your answers indicate in some replies that you're part of this and in other parts are not.
I know its already been mentioned but I think it bears repeating.
Why does a partner of a 40 store chain store work in as a security guard in a high school?
If the security guard needed $$ for this deal why ask a high school kid, as opposed to a venture capitalist? You agree it doesn't add up, yet you seem to be going in whole hog as well. Its like Woz being a janitor at school or something.
Since this is a red flag as you already admit, why do you seem so excited over this? I might have missed it but the age old advice of being too good to be true comes to mind.
He's 18 (we're twins), I don't know. One other question regarding your brother - how hold is he and did he sign a contract?
It's real. Can't PFCU trace back the funds to see exactly where they come from? The friend I know works as IT for them. I've seen the famous Nigerian scam many times, just not this changed up and not to this level. Profits don't make sense to me either. The cost of the 220v adapters are under $1 each, he says (bought in bulk, around 2500 of them). If you've read some, even many, of his other threads, you'd realize that this has a high probability of being real.
How does that saying go? Truth is stranger than fiction.

I don't try to create get rich quick schemes. Most are business ideas where, I'd like to make money, but doesn't have to be quick. Some others get lucky, aka the once in a lifetime deal and instantly are rich, semi-similar to winning the lottery jackpot.

Also, if you guys are wondering what I was up to during my 3 month Time Out, this was it.![]()
Please name three examples.
You certainly are lucky that you had the time off from MR to work on all this.
BTW: I thought it was your twin brother, Squally, was working on it.
He is the primary one working on it. I'm doing my research and asked here before I got in (we were damn close to partnering on this deal). Also, something you don't know: he's opening up a store in the mall, not electronics based but he's headed for the conglomerate approach. Retail store that sells junk food well over retail price. No idea where he's getting the money from to afford $3000 a month in rent. He got the idea from a short tern friend whom created a bond and the same business and shows immense profits (the guy is loaded). To name one, a record deal.
WTF is the conglomerate approach?
Junk food over retail price? I'm crying here.

Oh man, this just gets better with every post! My sides hurt from laughing so much!
Weren't you talking about starting your own "conglomerate" some time ago?
Might actually post that thread now...
An original idea created by OP...it is a business strategy to start a business in the knowledge that it will be made into a conglomerate in the near future.
Some have not heard the word "conglomerate" used in this way...but that's just because most cannot think outside the box as the Squilly/Squally twins do.
The cost of the 220v adapters are under $1 each, he says (bought in bulk, around 2500 of them).
No. Let's just stick to this one for now. Just see one "project" through to the end before starting another one.
Except, as TheAppleFairy pointed out earlier, 220v adapter are unnecessary as Apple power adapters can handle 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz.
This thread is like smoking...terribly bad for you (in this case existentially, not physically), but it's almost impossible to quit!
Forget Albee...forget Genet...forget Ionesco...forget Beckett...forget Pinter...
THIS is the theater Of The Absurd!
The outlets aren't the same as they are in the US though.
Then you need plug adapters and not voltage adapters.
Still, who's to say the money is invalid? Maybe there's slighter profit or they're just trying to do my brother a favor whilst getting their business stocked.

Probably right!
Those Security Guard, partners in 40 store Polish chain store, let's-get-a-High-School- student-involved-in-our-business guys are actually well known for their altruistic desire to do favors for High School kids.
I really can't understand the skepticism of the (obviously jealous) posters on this thread!![]()
When is your brother, Squally, going to register so we can hear his side of the "conglomerate project?"
Hey Squilly, when you're thinking of ideas to make money without actually working, much, can you do us a favor and try to be halfway legitimate about it?Alright. Ideas will be posted here then, as it's starting to intertwine anyways. The idea of it was to join my brother in his venture and he'd in turn partner with me, 50% share on everything, on all the ideas I decide to go through with (which wouldn't be many in the end).
First: an idea similar to the Chipotle/Subway idea but Italian based. Being in the Philadelphia area, it's a pretty good fit as south Philly is known, nationwide, for their Italian eats. Having a station for your pasta, your sauces, toppings, etc. Chipotle has proven this to be massively successful with Mexican food, why not try it with Italian food? Maybe add an extension of creating your own pizza at some point in the future.
App: this one is close to happening but not there yet. I have a developer ready to do it and is just waiting on payment. He's done the EXACT app before, known as Feature Points, and would use the script when he built theirs to build mine. The idea is monetary based where users download apps from sponsors which artificially puts them up on top charts in the App Store (disallowed by Apple but there's a way around this). I then get paid, per install, by the sponsor (say Angry Birds) of $.25 or $.50 because I've helped them artificially become popular on the App Store/Play Store. It would be on both. $900 includes the site, Play Store app, and iOS app. If marketing is done right, it could be wildly successful. The problem: it's been out for two or so years already so the empires are already making their profits - Feature Points and Free My Apps are the largest of these.
Lastly, just an idea I had, is a PPD site. I'm sure everyone here has seen them - you try to download a link and you have to fill out a survey before it's 'unlocked' and downloadable. Again, if marketing is done right, it could be successful (a couple of the largest are FileIce and ShareCash). People sign up to the site, upload their files, are given a unique download link to share with others and, when others click on this link, must fill out a survey to access the file. This does work, but is only allowed one per IP. In turn, these members are paid most of the profits from the survey hoster (ie. Netflix) and I'm getting about 22%, which is debatable/variable.
