This is a made up story to get attention.
You should peek at some of the other threads he has created.
Although perhaps this is a long game he is playing...

So, that begs the question of why these esteemed 40-store business owners didn't just deal with Apumac. And save $20K in the process. My brother isn't a dealer of Apple directly, he deals with a dealer of Apple, if that makes sense, known as Apumac. They're the dealer of Apple.

Are you an authorized Apple distributor or reseller?
A: NO, Apumac is its own entity and just resells Apple products and provides other services such as repairs, rentals and lease to own.
Are you affiliated with Apple Inc.?
A: No, Apumac is its own entity separate from the Apple company. However we are a very similar organization. People say Apumac is a more Exclusive and Elite company. Apumac sells specialty or exclusive products not seen or available in the US.
Does your Apple products come directly from Apple?
A: Our Apple products are purchased via several channels. We purchase our goods from Authorized resellers, authorized distributors, vendors, liquidators, trade companies etc. In all cases the original origin of the Apple products do come from Apple Inc.
I'm glad they cleared that up, even if their grasp of the language is a bit tenuous."In all cases the original origin of the Apple products do come from Apple Inc."
Okay then. It's more of a mobile app optimized for iOS devices (a provisioning profile still needs to be installed on the device before it could be used). There's a regular site, mobile site optimized for iPhone, and Play Store app.

It's much more than a few hours. Maybe it's being drawn out a lot but it's tens of hours, I can't count. That's what he tells me.
Yup, Apumac...solid as a rock!

Edit: and please explain that $900/mo holding fee. $160K (well, $140K or whatever) of Apple iPads is, what, several hundred boxes, tops? Why is that $900/mo? And why hand them over to UPS instead of just keeping them until they're ready to be shipped?
That's a lot of hours for someone who just sold their identity to a security guard.
There are 4 pallets, each of which has, what, 50 or so iPad boxes on it (and so they are not all that big), and they are charging $225/month per pallet? That makes no sense. They can't all go to one address. So UPS is holding them for him and should supposedly work with him until they're ready to enter the shipping process. The $900 fee is that holding fee, per month, of all the pallets.
I got a post card in the mail yesterday stating that I had won 2 tickets to anywhere in the US and all I had to do was call and claim my prize.
I promptly disposed of the post card.
If it sounds to good to be true, IT IS.
I don't know how you can sit idly by and wait for your brother to be arrested and eventually sentenced to prison at worst, or out thousands of dollars at best.
He hates his brother for stealing half of his parents' time and resources. "Moo ha ha," he thinks.I don't know how you can sit idly by and wait for your brother to be arrested and eventually sentenced to prison at worst, or out thousands of dollars at best.

Neither does ordering the stuff before you're ready to ship it.
Why didn't you just ship it to your house and that of a friend, then hold onto them until it's time to send them over?
Of course, this is all within the fantasy world in which any of this makes any sense whatsoever.
I'm glad they cleared that up, even if their grasp of the language is a bit tenuous.

I simply don't see $160K (-$20K = $140K?) ... signed for by an 18 year old with the business sense of a turnip ...
It is unlikely that Apumac would have invested the tens of hours necessary to locate the plug adapters. That alone is worth close to $20K.Indeed.....Apumac's website even says they export and ship worldwide

The 'tens of hours' isn't just for the adapters. It's the grand total, from start to finish.
Would you list out all the details that incorporate the grand total, from start to finish?
I have no idea. It's just what he tells me. Piecing it together, calls to Apple and UPS, getting adapters, product shipped (that's probably the longest part) all contribute towards it.
.... He has a license with another Apple distributor based in CA whom supplies from Apple. Apple ships the stuff (or so I hear) but first has to go to my brothers US address. ...
First: an idea similar to the Chipotle/Subway idea but Italian based. Being in the Philadelphia area, it's a pretty good fit as south Philly is known, nationwide, for their Italian eats. Having a station for your pasta, your sauces, toppings, etc. Chipotle has proven this to be massively successful with Mexican food, why not try it with Italian food?
product shipped (that's probably the longest part)
