Hi,
Just to be sure - you bought the T-Mobile contract free version from Apple.com USA correct? (A1549 model)?

That was the one I was planning on ordering also for use in the UK but have not seen anywhere someone clearly stating that 4G works in Europe. (I wish Apple would just list LTE bands only and not split out models by carrier on the LTE specs site.)

My iPhone 6 bought from Apple.com contract free is working perfectly here in the UK. Not reported back as others have but hit the first 4G area today so 100% confirmation. Using Three.

It works 100% in the UK on all the major networks - we bought two (one for me and the wife had one also) and both working perfectly fine including 4G. It can't comment on the reset of the EU both it really is a simple case of checking the LTE bands for 4G.

Hey, I think it should be fine. I bought a T-Mobile one and and AT&T one (because T-Mobile was out of stock) in store, paid full price for them. When I got home, I plugged the in iTunes and got the message: "Congratulations, your phone is unlocked!" They work fine with my roaming sim card and I haven't got any issues so far.

This is exactly what I did and it works perfectly on O2.

Hi, is this on 2G/3G as well as 4G? Also, having had a look at the LTE list on the Apple site, the A1586 seems to have all the bands of the A1549 plus extras, but I can't see how to specify the model when ordering on the Apple.com site? Lastly, on the warranty side, my thinking would be that the GSM model should be fine for support in the UK, does that make sense?

Any help appreciated,

Cheers

Dan

I can't say for 2G, but I can say 3G and 4G work just fine. I believe the A1586 is the SIM-free option, but I could be wrong.

I was told that any model would receive Applecare support in the U.K. It is my understanding that any of the GSM models would be covered for support in the U.K., though I can't say I've had to test this.
