Checked today's Target and it is $249 for the 38mm with the older band. I would only buy the sport if it came with the nylon band. I can buy one for the new price of $299 with the nylon band so no deal yet for me. Show me a sale on the new band models and I'll buy.
All these "sale" prices are just off of their old price but ignore the $50 price cut by Apple on the Sport model.
I'd still recommend it as a buy today. If I destroyed or lost my current Apple Watch, I would immediately go out and buy a replacement.
Do you find it slow? I hear so many complaints.
For third-party apps yes. But I don't really use them. As I said on the other thread:
"I use mine exclusively for fitness tracking, time, notifications, taking the occasional call, and even less occasionally directions. Apple Pay is very nice too."
I've lost over 50lbs since I got my Apple Watch, so the fitness tracker/motivator is clearly worth it for me on its own.
I'm trying hard to lose weight myself. I'm worried that if I get the watch now the new ones will come out in June!
I'd be very surprised if they have new watches to announce at WWDC in June. I think September is the best bet with the big iPhone/iOS event.
Maybe they will hint at new ones if they announce watchOS and OS X and iOS?
There won't be hints. They'll either announce it or say nothing. I don't blame you for wanting to wait for the next model. You've got this far into the life cycle of the current model. But me personally I'd want to use these next 6 months productively if losing weight was a big goal.
+1. Six months can indeed be productive. My first thirty-pound weight loss was done in six months. But me personally I'd want to use these next 6 months productively if losing weight was a big goal.
I would wait. I can't imagine the next generation being released after 2016.
Has anyone see the 42mm sport for $299? Should have jumped on it a couple weeks ago. I've been looking second hand but not sure how I feel going that route.
