The people that are telling to sell my old 2009, I already promised my brother I would give it to him in case I get a new model.

Well the plot thickens. So if you return the new one, that means you will not give it to him? I give up.

Lol, yeah, pretty much. If I return the one I just got, I won't give the old one to him. I just feel like its a waste of 2000 bucks, when I already have a pretty good computer. I think it would be more worth it spending the money on the new iPad and a SSD with more GBs.

Too bad you re such a nice brother...now you pretty much should return it at least until the promise loses value. Get the SSD and maybe a nice new flatscreen.

and here I was thinking, "he has remorse for not buying the top spec" when I clicked this thread, which is usually the "anti-buyers remorse" spec

Why not sell your old iPad and get the new iPad? And get the Optibay kit and re-use the HDD you removed from your new MBP back into it for more storage?

And sell your old MBP... you'd be out for less than $2,000, have the new MBP, storage, and new iPad, after getting rid of all the old.

Are you sure you want a new iPad though (or will there be more buyers remorse)?

The "good" news is that both the 2009 MBP & the 2011 MBP are the same design, no? So if for example, you have the same type of screen (like glossy) on both, then unless your bro go look at the "About This Mac" screen..... :D :p

The reason why ur thinking like that is bc ur not recouping any cash out of the old one. Instead of giving away ur old one, sell it and u won't have the remorse.

This ^.

If you sold the 2009 MBP and then bought iPad 2 you wouldn't have this buyers remorse.

Ew. Um, why? Like, because they plan to do bad stuff?

So, if I was the person who bought it at the store, would I want the machine with my details on it to go to a person who didn't want their details on it?

Up to you dude - sell it or keep it!

So, I recently purchased the new MBP, even though I already had a late 2009 that was working perfectly fine. But after seeing the Geekbench scores, I was like, "wow, gotta have this baby". Yeah I know, stupid me.

For what I do, I don't really see that much of a difference in performance. At least not 2000+ dollars worth. And I can use the money to get the new iPad, and a SSD with more space, cause my 120GB is not enough for me anymore.

So my question is, if I take it back to the Apple store, and say that I'm not satisfied with the product, will they give me my money back, no questions asked???

UPDATE: So, after all this drama, I decided I'm going to keep it. I talked to my brother about my little drama, and I told him I was going to return my new MBP and keep my old one, and I that I rather sell my 2009 and buy the 2011 later, and get the iPad 2 instead. To my surprise, not only he told me he would buy the 2009 from me, but he would also pay for my iPad 2. I did not even think twice about it. So, to sum up, I'm keeping this awesome machine, and getting the iPad 2 next week. :D

So, is your brother married?

So you went from giving a MBP away to getting an iPad 2? lol rock on. My older bro is hooking me up with his iPad 1 for a great price.. so it's always nice to have brothers
