I filed this bug on Tuesday on the dev site. I've already received an email saying they closed it as a duplicate (meaning it's already been reported and acknowledged).

So hopefully they fix it sooner than later!

Great stuff - cheers

This and reminders. I really like iOS 7 so far but reminders is god awful..

Agree. It's like Apple wants us to use 3rd party apps. Wunderlist is so much better than reminders (especially ios7 reminders). I would love to use all stock apps but I feel like I don't have a choice cuz they're so bad.

But won't let us integrate them with siri. :(

I would love to check my email with siri, but it just brings up mail instead of mailbox.

I haven't tried Fantastical on my iPhone even though it's on my MBP but a few days ago I tried out Calendars+ as it was free that day and it's all I need if the stock app isn't fixed when iOS7 comes out in Fall .

It's beautiful ,universal and syncs perfectly !

Could someone possibly upload a picture of Fantasticals monthly view by any chance? What i love about calendars+ is the monthly view where it actually shows the events on the calendar and not just dots.

i want to try out fantastical but want to check the monthly view first :p

Just wondering , do you know how much Calendar+ was sold ?
Have you tried Beep Me ? Great for reminders ;-)

What do you mean how much it was sold, actual app sales? I do not not. I have it at the moment because i despise the iOS7 calendar. I am intrigued by the smart event input though from fantastical.

Yes that's what I meant…but it's not important ! I'm not a dev and don't have iOS7 , but I read a lot..just to know what to expect
So far I'm really liking what I see even though some stuff still needs to be ironed out .

Ah, gotcha :p

I mean i really like iOS7 in general. I'm just not too crazy about how calendar is laid out. I feel like there are just so many better options (both Calendars+ and fantastical). The monthly view in calendars+ is superb imo

3rd party calendars don't have integration with siri, ios, your mac computer, iCloud, notification centre, other apps, sharing, etc. It's all a little harder to use which is why apple should get their act together with the UI of the in built calendar

While that was my hold up initially, i think i tend to disagree now. I believe the integration is actually pretty on par. For instance if i use siri to create an invent it goes to the stock calendar, but that in-tern goes to many 3rd party calendars automatically.

Likewise if i create an event on 3rd party calendar and then go to my mac, its on the stock calendar now..

The good ones seem to all sync together pretty nicely.

I really like how calendar works with notification center in iOS6 , how does it show up in iOS7 ?

Don't bother answering , I found a video !

Calendar is a work in progress, as evidenced by the fact that there are no videos displaying its functionality on Apple's iOS7 website. It's just not near a state of usability and serves mostly as a design demo at the moment.

I wonder how much will be added when all is said and done though. I mean i would probably expect just the dots to be added to month view and not much else from there, as there wasn't much to it in previous versions anyways. The other basics in it work (to my knowledge)

Sooo , I've watched a few videos on YouTube and a thing I don't quite get is when the Today view is showing , in Calendar there are a lot of empty spaces.
Do you have to scroll all the way until you find something ? Seems odd to me ;)

In iOS6 , I just see what's up today and eventually tomorrow, which is fine.

Sorry if I don't explain myself very well…I'm french ! Nobody's perfect..

It should be because the today view is by the hour, so depending when your even is you would have to scroll to that hour. If its an all day event its placed at the top in a fixed position regardless of scrolling.

One last question : When you tap the looking glass to go to the List view , do you see the list the same way as in iOS6 ?

no problem :p

Without having ios6 side by side, yeah it seems the same to me. its a task list of all upcoming events.

I think this would be very nice for the calendar..
