Calendar - No sort of "at a glance" feature?

Astonishing they've dropped the ball on this one. Bereft of logic.
I'm holding off judgetment until the GM is released as I can definitely see this changing in a future beta. Especially since the addition of the dots to Beta 3.
But if they end up not "fixing" it then I will be very suprised and maybe even a dealbreaker for me (unless I find a third party app). However, I'm starting to realize that Apple's stock apps have limited functionality compared to some apps found in the app store. The fewer stock apps i use, the less I feel like I need Apple's ecosystem. This is the inherent problem with Apple that I see. I certainly realize that the ecosystem means using more than a few apps but the less I use the less I have the mentality that i NEED to stay with Apple because EVERYTHING I do is through them (calendar, notes, reminders, etc.).
Rant over. FIX the goda*n calendar!! LOL
Because that is the point of iOS 7.
See, when Scott Forstall was fired he deleted the hard drives that all the source code for iOS was on. They only kept it in one place, so it couldn't be stolen.
So they had to remake iOS from an early alpha version that was backed up on a thumb drive in some dude's desk.
They are still working on it man, night and day. They'll get back to iOS 6 eventually, but it might take until iOS 13 before we really see what 7 *could* have been like, had Scott not been hung out to dry for making the only app that he didn't delete.

Apple closed my multiple bug reports on the calendar of the UI and allocated all 'duplicate call' numbers.
Do we have a calendar that looks like this restoring the iOS 6 functionality?

When it asks for location, would be nice to tap a button next to location and have it take me to a map view so I can select a location.
There is so much they could do to improve this app, it looks nice, but functionality is all over the board, hitting those top menu buttons with one hand is no fun. Would like to see more functionality moved to bottom, or add edge swipe to go back.
And yeah, different colors would be great for different appointments.

Nothing new as far as calendar is concerned since the dots were added (one or two beta releases ago).
The calendar.app has many more shortcomings. I have posted an article on my blog site with my main complaints about iOS 7. It is not a rant, just a wish list for future releases.
The calendar app is so terrible now. I tried out Agenda and liked it but today I purchased Fantastical and it's perfect. I think I've resigned to the fact that I'm going to start to have to use third-party apps due to Apple dropping the ball imo and removing functionality.
