However I have felt recently considering I have the 6S plus, mini 4 and air 2 that I'm simply not getting enough use having all 3 devices.

When I read that sentence I thought you were joking.

Some of you guys really love your tech.

I ended up rebuying in dec to give it longer. Just took it back yesterday. IMO, unless you really value the pencil, it's not worthwhile if you're not an artist or heavy note taker. I don't think it's really worth spending more than a few hundred on an ipad. The Pro is fast but way overpriced considering how limited ipads are. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with smartcase, cover, and pencil to ebay.

what a beast this is, early impressions are very good. Amazing size

Look! It's Fisher-Price's "My First Tablet"! Sorry, but the cavernous space between icons is funny to me. :)

Seriously though, congrats and enjoy!
Yeah, I don't understand why the iPhone keeps getting more rows of icons every time the display gets bigger, but the iPad's stayed the same since the first one. The 4.7" iPhone can display up to 28 icons on the screen at once. The 13" iPad can only display up to 26.

Yeah I never got why with ipads and now the pro why more apps aren’t allowed per page. Maybe they don’t want things to be cluttered like with android devices with launchers for example.

I think part of it is they don't want it to get too cluttered, but mostly it's just not a priority. Creating a different layout for the iPP probably isn't that much of an effort, but it is still another item on a likely long and complex todo list.

That's possible.

I was tempted but then when I saw how huge and heavy it was I might as well just bring my MacBook Pro and I can be 10x more productive with it

The beauty of the iPad is the portability and lightness

Simple, iOS on iPad is low priority for Apple, that's why the OS on the iPad is so far behind surface

I made the same reasoning:

iPhone 6s Plus
iPad pro 128 Cellular
iMac 27" 5K

No need for a Macbook or a smaller iPad anymore.

I've been in this config now since I purchased the iPad Pro in November. No regrets. I don't miss the laptop at all. iPad Pro is a fantastic product and the future looks very bright indeed with new versions of iOS.

to be honest I don't find it that heavy considering the size. Lack of apps on the surface is why I would never get one if it was to be a tablet and laptop.

The iPad Pro is 1.59 lbs. Isn't the MacBook Pro more than twice as heavy?

I'm happy with the spacing. But then, I
- use folders
- like negative space
- hate clutter

Same, I love the spacing and I intentionally only fill half the page with icons. I don't understand this criticism. When the iPad was first announced there was that mocking pic of Steve holding a giant slate filled with tiny icons. Is that what people want? The density is okay on a tiny screen but would look ridiculous on the Pro. Also, most people like to keep their desktop computers' desktops icon free, why is this different?

Congrats on the Pro, OP.

I just picked one up today at Microcenter with 100 dollars off. Wouldn't had done it but Best Buy had the pencils in stock too. Having both items at once was too tempting. And you cant beat the sound of the 4 speakers.

Had mine for about a month now and recently picked up the pencil. Wouldn't be without it now, brilliant for note taking at work and using it as my mobile second monitor when out and about.

It's surprising how quick you get used to the size. Going back to my old iPad 4 now seems like a toy in comparison.

Great going.

Ordered my kit the moment it was released in the UK. Been happily using it for a couple of months now. We all know the Pencil is awesome, but heck, so is the keyboard. I can whack the keys as hard as i like. Brilliant :)

Never owned a laptop before, but for all my admin and billing and letter writing and diaries and note taking this Pro is the ****! Havent yet listened to any music or watched any videos or played any games mind you ;)

You wont be dissapointed i think :)

Just curious, been hearing the same comment.

Why would you be pissed at the lack of apps for the SP when it's desk top compatible? Why not just use all desk top programs like your mac/pc?
