Great going.

Ordered my kit the moment it was released in the UK. Been happily using it for a couple of months now. We all know the Pencil is awesome, but heck, so is the keyboard. I can whack the keys as hard as i like. Brilliant :)

Never owned a laptop before, but for all my admin and billing and letter writing and diaries and note taking this Pro is the ****! Havent yet listened to any music or watched any videos or played any games mind you ;)

You wont be dissapointed i think :)

Just curious, been hearing the same comment.

Why would you be pissed at the lack of apps for the SP when it's desk top compatible? Why not just use all desk top programs like your mac/pc?

I wouldn't be pissed but I would like the combo of apps, tablet and laptop. I have the MacBook Pro and now the pro and as we speak I now I will hardly use the MacBook apart for certain things. For me I think the pro could be a laptop replacement after using this for about a day now. This keyboard is simply amazing.

The screen is very big and holding it without a keyboard cover could get annoying at certain times but not with this. It also gives you the option to fold it over if you don't want the keyboard to type.

iPad pro is TOO HEAVY to hold in portrait and not comfortable as a laptop with the keyboard

It's a lose lose

I can't speak for everyone but personally, I feel like, if I'm going to be using desktop apps, why don't I just get a regular laptop or desktop? The purpose of getting a tablet or hybrid is so I can use it as a tablet. If there aren't great tablet apps for Windows 10 devices, there isn't a point in getting one.

To heavy - What are you? Stephen Hawking?

The weight does present a challenge for elderly and mobility impaired users, but the benefits are worth the effort of solving the challenge. Our boss is very intrigued with the iPad Pro, even though he has trouble holding it up. His eyes just lit up when he saw the big screen. We are looking into ordering him one of those tablet holding pillows to prop it up. We are sure he'll enjoy the iPP once we find the right pillow for him.

Thought for protection I've ordered the sillcone case for taking it out and about

Ouch says my wallet
I was in the same boat and couldn't bring myself to pay so much for the silicone case. I found this one on Amazon - looks and functions the same, and has a perfect cutout for the Smart Keyboard, all for $10.99.

Getting the right case/stand/holder is definitely critical to the user experience of the iPad Pro. You need to figure out how you wish to use it, and then get the appropriate case or stand that works best.

I've had a Lap Log since . . . forever (iPad 2?). It comes in tasteful colors and it works for anything from a Kindle to the iPad Pro. You can request a wider wooden shelf that will accommodate cases up to 1".

Thanks for the suggestion. I've heard good things about that product, but I'm thinking something like this might be better for our boss.

It's all in one piece, so no need to fiddle with any parts. Only drawback is they don't seem to sell through Amazon, so the ordering process takes a bit more typing (I know, I really should set up auto-fill!)

Now I know I have said a lot on here that the pro is too big, not worth the extra price from the air 2.

However I have felt recently considering I have the 6S plus, mini 4 and air 2 that I'm simply not getting enough use having all 3 devices.

It's almost like at times I'm barely using my 6S plus as I tend to use my mini 4 at work and air 2 at home. So I've decided for general tasks my 6S plus is what I will use and the pro can be my device mainly at home and out and about when I need some work or just browsing

So because of this I have decided to sell my mini 4 and air 2 to fund the pro. Because my mini 4 is on contract I've decided to buy the cellular iPad pro 128GB so I will take the pro with me and just put my o2 sim in my pro

Also decided to go all out and I have ordered the smart keyboard and the apple pencil

Quite surprised that the pencil is only 7-10 days wait as thought it was 2-3 weeks

So what's your point?

The Lap Log is all one piece, i.e. the wooden ledge is only removable if you want to take it out for traveling, etc. But the Wedgestand is very nice and more professional looking. I live in a small space space and like having something I can tuck away.
