Anyone seen lines at Best Buy?

I'm leaving work at 4 today, gonna try for the Best Buy in Doral, Miami, FL.

It's a lot closer than the nearest Apple Store, and since the Apple Store tends to do setup for people, making the lines move a lot slower, it may be a better choice.

So how many people in line at an Apple store should make us nervous? How many before they start running out of stock for those of us that are not used to camping out.

I'm talking not in a major city, but in a decent sized city like Birmingham Alabama. 50? 100?

Trying to gauge when I should panic.....

That is my plan too. Leave work a bit early and go to Best Buy here in subburban Atlanta. There is an apple store and bust buy pretty close together so thinking best buy might be quicker to get in and out of and since I am going for one of the less popular models (64G AT&T) doubt they will sell out of that version.

i was thinking about going there, but now i'm thinking the best buy in homewood or tinley park might be better. being that i used to work at the one in homewood, i will probably go there.

Probably is the best option in Miami. Leaving to go there at 4 may be a little late though. Good luck!

Keep us posted! I plan on leaving work early and hope I can get there in time before the line gets cuurzzy.

They must have at least a 1000. I suggested that number and I could read the guys face even though they are not permitted to say. "There are plenty." Just remember though they have to split that inventory up between all the different options. Anyways, I'll keep updates on Fair Oaks Mall.

I know what you mean. I plan on leaving work at 3:30 as well (though I'm in Minneapolis), and I'm a little nervous. But really, I don't think it'll be a huge problem, I plan on checking my local Best Buy first (less than 5 minutes from work) and if there is a good size line, I'll head to the nearest Apple Store (10 minutes away) and wait it out there. I assume they'll have a lot better stock than Best Buy.
