What the serial number of your iPod 4G photo?

Do you sell one 1G or 2G with box?

Hi,
I forgot to mention, the iPod Photo is also probably a refurb (JQ in the serialno).
Serialno is jq447cktr5q

Sorry, the 1st gen ipods with box are not for sale. Quite hard to come by these:rolleyes: I have without the box though:cool:

Maybe but I have seen that the box of your 4J is all black, no? My boxes are blue/pink/yellow/green. Maybe for that the serial number is 4J!:D

Here we go. My collection is modest, I am a relatively new to Apple products but love my iPods/macs. Hasnt stopped me from buying a lot of them in the past 2 years. I've sold them as I upgraded.

iPhone 3GS (mine)
iPhone 3G (wife)
iPod shuffle 3G Blue (2009)
And as of tonight, iPod Classic 6G 160gb (2010)

Past iPods include a 4gb pink nano, much loved by my wife until she got her iPhone, 2 other 3G iphones and a 5G ipod video

iPod 4th, not refurb

Psykomaniaque:

Below you can see pictures of my 4th gen (used), with serial and modelno. I noticed that your modelnumbers do not show on everyipod.com, only M9282LL/A is shown here, further suggesting JQ is a refurb. Modelno on your ipods are P9282LL/A and M9282FE/A.

Pictures below.

iPod 4th

Dont worry about it, the ipods are in perfect condition, and thats the important thing:cool:

great collection:rolleyes:

Yes but I'm little desapointed! I want to be sûre. I will call Mr. Jobs!!!:D

The problem of model number: Maybe because my 4G come from Hong Kong, my 3G come from USA. The old iPod were differents with the continent because the models of charger are not the same everywhere in the world. I think that is the reason of the differents models numbers!

i got an iPod shuffle 1st gen brand new but how much for the ipod photo:confused::)

Wow! I just spent an hour reading through all these posts! You guys have some amazing collections. Is anyone interested or know anyone who might have a 1st Gen scroll wheel ipod for sale? I'm not a collector at all but now I want one! Willing to pay up to mid $XXX for it depending upon condition. Thanks so much.

Or if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks guys and great work with the collections. Wow.

funny thing about ipods

I dont even collect ipods, but people give me their broken ipods to fix and I do.
Some I cant fix so I keep the parts and then with enough parts i've built frankenpods.

Makes you think about the sheer volume of ipods that are out there waiting to become trash...

Anyway, I like having so many cuz I leave one in each car, one in the bathroom, one in my backpack, one for running and one that i take to parties.
And I dont really care if many of them are stolen or break down.

i miss the old wheel on the 1st generation iPods. it was great cuz the wheel was somewhat free-spinning, so if you had a huge long playlist you could just spin the wheel like roulette and let it pick a song for you. the only downside was it made it waaay too easy to accidentally touch and spin the wheel while it was in your pocket, and deafen yourself because the volume just shot up to maximum... and in those days there was no volume limiter in the ipod OS.
Still, i think my original (well, 2nd model original, i got the first 10GB when it came out which was still a 1st gen model technically.) had some of the best sound quality of the ipods ive had... just sounded richer than the later ones, 5th gen having the worst sound quality... lots of audible (to me) hiss in the signal.

Lowest Serial Number of 1st Gen 5GB iPod

For those collectors who have a 1st Gen 5GB iPod:

What is the lowest serial number you've seen?

I think the 44th week of 2001 (i.e. "U2144XXXXX") was the lowest I've seen for production models.

If anyone of you have anything earlier, I'd like to know.

Thanks!

Actually, my 4th gen ipod clickwheel has serial: 4J5110L0PS9

But, Im beginning to doubt if JQ means refurb on all 4th generation iPods. Maybe some day we will know for sure.;)

iPodcollector...how did you get my stands to work on the early gen iPods???

iPodcollector...how did you get my stands to work on the early gen iPods???

Well, a little macgyver, and they work:)

I grinded down the teeth which hook on to the dock connector, and glued small pieces of rubber to them.

Thats about it.

It also makes the ipods with dock connector sit at a nicer angle, so I have modified all my stands this way (except for the black ones).
