Hi,
I'm new to this forum...
I started my iPod collection roughly 2 months ago. I've still got a long way to go but nonetheless I'm in a decent position already.

So far I have;
iPod Nano 1st Gen
iPod Nano 2nd Gen Pink 4GB
iPod Nano 3rd Gen Green 8GB
iPod Touch 1st Gen John Lennon 8GB
iPod Video 5th Gen 80GB
iPod Shuffle 4th Gen 2GB

All the iPods above that I have are sealed...

I also have;
iPod Shuffle 1st Gen 512MB
iPod Shuffle 3rd Gen 2GB
iPod Photo 30GB X2
iPod Nano 3rd Gen Blue 8GB
iPod Touch 4th Gen 32GB

All these iPods apart from the Photo models are in very good condition. However, I'm mainly interested in collecting sealed iPods. If anybody has any duplicates or a few that they don't need, please can you contact me and I'll be happy to offer for them...

Thanks :)

Selling an iPod

Hi,
I'd like to boost my collection a little. Does anyone here have any iPods that are still sealed that they are willing to sell? I've seen a few listed on eBay but frankly they are not worth the prices being demanded of them currently. Does anyone here have any of the older generations still sealed and boxed that they are willing to sell. I live in the UK and can arrange to buy them through Paypal. I'll also cover the international shipping cost if applicable. Thanks

I was using cassettes until I got my iPhone 1 in 2011. But guess what, it didn't have an audio output that worked with my headphones well...

That is a great collection! I want that Apple-hater with an avatar of Steve serving Kool-Aid to see this. He might die of hate (not that I want him to die or anything, but it would be funny to see his actual reaction). Also, why does Kool-Aid = brainwashing?

You mean mint condition "sealed" or just in original packaging? Speaking of that, I bet a mint-condition original iPod or the special black/red version will be worth a lot someday.

"Sealed" should mean just what it is...unopened unbroken seal from factory!!
The U2 edition ipod and the first model of ipod already fetch a handsome bunch of $$$ (or € for that matter)! Some people think they could get as much as 100.000$ for one, but thats just silly ;)

The ones that are hardest to find are the early Madonna-, Tony Hawk-, No Doubt- or Beck-edition. Harry Potter edition is REALLY hard to find :(

wow. I haven't even heard of anything like this except U2 edition! I wonder how they look like. Going to google them. Harry Potter edition... I wonder how I could have missed this one!

Well, check this thread! Here are pictures of some of the others ;)

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1350135/

And the Harry Potter edition "only" had the Hogwarts Crest on the back! It was issued from the online store to celebrate when itunes started to sell the books! The Ipod had all books on it when you bought it from Apple :)

thanks for the link!
honestly among all of the special editions I really liked only the Harry Potter one. it's beautiful.

4g ipod photo 60gb white mint condition

Can anyone tell me a fair market value for this ipod? It is in mint condition with all manuals, cdroms, cables, etc. Thanks

Its value is really what ever someone is willing to pay :D

There are a LOT of overpriced iPods on Ebay...nobody is willing to pay thousands of $$$ for a 10 year old used iPod ok?

Its really hard to say what its value is! It all comes down to its condition. "Mint" for me is perhaps not the same as "mint" for You! Do you have the box? Condition of the box? What's the serial number? What's the condition of the front AND backside? Is it marked on the back side? For me a good used iPod 4:th gen with excellent box, could be worth all between $50 and $200. A sealed one as much as maybe $300. But thats just me ;)

Just PM me if You have further questions...

I was thinking about the orange second gen shuffle! It never came in a box with green text? The text was gray right? The only model to come with green text was the first silver 1GB released in september 12 2006? Please correct me if I'm wrong...

Hi, don't really have much of an iPod collection at the moment, but just got my hands on a sealed iPod Video 60GB (MA003FB/A) from 2005. Can't seem to find them for sale anywhere else still sealed, does anyone here have any idea what this thing is worth?

I'm not sure I follow you there?? I bought one last month for 70€! But I was lucky I'll guess? What do you think it should be worth? :)

Would you buy a Sony VCR sealed from factory from 2005 for 100$? Or maybe just the box? ;)

Very lucky! Here in the UK used ones go for £70+ (90€) like this one on ebay

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/271021787...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649#ht_1101wt_1396

Was kinda hoping that with it being sealed it's worth more than £100, but I'm not really interested in selling unless someone really wants it :D
