WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE CAMERA APP

I had this happen maybe once, but I didn't have to completely restart the phone, just the app. I've had more issues with Hipstamatic suddenly quitting to the home screen every 5-6 shots or so. Pretty annoying crash issues there.

yes Hipstamatic crashes A LOT. Camera+ not so much but it has "locked up" on me 3 times so far where I had to force quit.

Downloaded this new(to me) app called PictureShow and tried it out on this picture. So far I like it...

I am getting ready to go to NYC, Phily, and Washington DC next week so I hope to take many pictures and edit in Camera+

I will keep posting all of my pictures to my flickr and the Camera+ group on flickr. Thanks to all 19 members in the flickr group that keep posting pictures.

Apologies if this has been discussed in this thread already, but what is everyone's general workflow technique?

I hate how a new version is saved with each program that is used for editing. How do you guys take a photo and edit it without a million versions of the same image ending up in your Photo roll?

First off, I usually take 3-5 pictures making sure that I get the lighting the way I want it and that out of five pictures, I can find one to edit.

I delete all but my two favorite shots and then make copies.

After I have the copies, I then start editing the copies that I made. I made send one over to Colorsplash or some of the other photo editing apps that I have on my iPad.

(I use dropbox for all my photo transferring from devices and computer. It is a very powerful service.)

After that, I just find the filter or FX that I want in the shot and then light the shots after I find the FX that I want. I don't really like to compound multiple FX, however when I do, it is mostly for DOF and more robust lighting.

After that, I share all my photos on flickr or some on my facebook profile for friends and family.

Is there a way to delete the "Recent Prints" saved in the Hipstamatic app without having to delete each single one individually. I don't like that there is a copy of every single photo I've ever taken in the app.

Camera+ folks, here's a workaround to allow you to use the + volume button to take photos. Very handy.

This workaround is fantastic.

Just know that you will experience a bug where if you switch back to the camera by tapping "done" in the lightbox menu, the camera will automatically take a picture when it loads. The easiest workaround is to switch back to the camera by tapping the camera icon on the bottom of the lightbox menu instead.

Just a minor inconvenience for now having an actual tactile shutter button!

I'm not normally into the whole panoramic thing, but a lot of you keep talking about the Pano app and have been doing really cool things with it, so I thought I'd give it a try. My first attempt taken in Pasadena California earlier today:

And a couple of Hisptamatic shots from today:

(the following had additional processing with the "Film Lab" app using the Cross Processing - Sandal effect.)

That's all for today...

Where and how do you get the frames with the faux exposure/branding? Totally cool effect!

Bah! Broke down and bought camera+ after everyone raving about it. Much prefer camerabag and Photoshop. Another waste of $1.99. When is there going to be a trial period for apps!?

I really like your photos.

Props man, I really like your photos.

Also thanks for posting your shooting steps, much appreciated!

Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind words. I sometimes really doubt if what I am doing is even worthwhile or not, so it really helps to hear that someone appreciates it... :)

That's the Hipstamatic app using the "Pistil Film" effect.

Not to derail the thread but if you like Hipstamatic & Camera+ for your photos you should check out CinemaFXV for your videos. Pretty sweet...now I just need to find a good editing app, reviews for iMovie don't look too good...same thing for ReelDirector (video quality).

...but back on topic: great pics everyone, this thread is responsible for my purchase of Hipstamatic, Camera+, Pano, and Iris.

Just took this

We used to get those is our front yard, we would feed it grasshoppers and crickets and watch him web 'em up. Pretty cool actually, haven't seen one in a long time though. Scary little (giant) thing.

Hello I would like to clarify something here. From what I can see, and heard, the iPhone 4 stock camera has oversaturated colors. And this is because of the image processing algorithms. So I would like to ask when these apps take photos, will it be the already processed jpg files or unedited raw files so that we can edit it in-app ourselves?

Thanks
