Yepp, you're correct. If you can't find it, PM me and I can give you more specific details.

Thanks I'm still looking but I'm wading through a ton of news crap about them being snatched off the app store. Doesn't look like I have access to PM as I don't see the option, I suppose its because I just joined today. I'll keep looking for Camera+ though.

I found it in a few seconds by simply typing camera + ipa into google. However I couldn't get it to install to my non jb 4.0.2 phone. Ah well

It's easy enough to find, just use your initiative. Not much use to you unless you're JB'd though.
Hopefully I will be soon so I can have this awesome app again and send a few quid to them anyway.

Ah I didn't type in the .IPA part, yeah I too found it super fast when I did that.
Sorry guys sorry. I am JB'd so its good.

FYI

Just picked this (Camera Duo) up after getting an alert.

Interesting App. Not flawless (i.e. when playing back video - when you've take a picture the video momentarily stutters) - still - it's aces above having to stop/start picture taking AND taking videos...

It's free - so the price is right to try it out anyway...

It's not free (anymore?). At least I don't see it free. :(

If you take outside photos with the iPhone 4 then its a great cam but for indoor shots in artificial light its untrustworthy :/

Too often it has the lovely green blob in the center of the shot (I've had it on 2 iPhone 4's and seen it in others photo's) which was something that happened on my 3GS shots.

Foolishly trying to keep this thread alive...

I've been trying new things/ heading in a different direction with the iPhone 4 and the various camera apps; doing a series of very low light, no flash, hyperrealism portrait photography (see my previous post as well) making it hard to tell if it is a photo or a painting/drawing. But it is all (mostly) Hipstamatic (new Hipstamatic update coming out Thursday 4th by the way with the new Salvador Dali inspired lens and film!)

Hate to ask this question but I looked and can't find anything out. Does anyone know if Camera+ is going to come back to the App store. That's a great app wish I would have got it

Looks like Camera+ is back in the store, and updated to version 2 with a bunch more features!! :D

I bought the add-on effects pack right away... pretty impressive new filters. And you can adjust the transparency on the effect for even more control. Pretty exciting.

So nice to see it back in the app store. :D

Amazing they finally broke the silence. Glad the update is free, but annoying that the extra effects are a buck. Oh well.

Two questions:

1. What does the white balance lock do (the option comes up when you use a second finger to change exposure)? I guess it's to lock it when the camera selects a certain white balance (daylight, fluorescent, etc.), but I can never tell what mode the camera has chosen anyway.

2. What does the "Restore purchases" option in the menu do?

I guess they figure if Hispsto can charge extra for filters and people are buying them up, why not. Mo! money, Mo! money Mo! money.

I can understand them wanting a bit more money, but after being completely silent for 4 months, it's poor form to not throw their existing user base a bone; instead they instantly ask for more money. All aspects of this update should've been completely free as an apology for not supporting their product all this time.

It looks like the white balance lock will simply keep the camera at whatever setting the camera is currently at. In my office, it clearly gets confused and bounces around from daylight to fluorescent depending on where I'm pointing the thing. So I can lock it in place when it's set appropriately (based on my own judgment by looking at the colors on the screen).

Not bad, but I wish they could simply implement a manual white balance control.

There's also a new fluorescent effect that can be added to photos later, but I have yet to figure out exactly what that's doing.
