Forget the seizure part, how will he foot the $130+ month tab to AT&T with no J O B ?

You pay $130 a month?! Bwahahahaha. Thank the lord I had a buddy set me up with a 25% a month discount. I pay around $79. $130 a month isn't worth it for ANY phone.

Somebody cited the Golden Rule too, so religious stuff has been circling around. Given the subject, this kind of stuff is almost naturally comes up. I suppose, somebody will soon mention Hitler and that will be it.

... oops!

Yea, we've got a guy at our office who has a truck in the parking lot COVERED with religious sayings like 'god with save you', and 'where will you go when you die?', etc. It's in big white lettering all over his back windows and doors and stuff.

It doesn't make any of us go 'gee, that's interesting, I think I'll go to church and look into that a bit more'. All it does is make us go 'I hope that goofball doesn't shoot up the office some day'.

Exactly, this I will agree with. Why are we even discussing this, what does this even remotely have to do with Apple products ? This is just disability fraud in the making.
No, it's not. If this guy truly has a condition that prevents him from working and has to be on taxpayer assistance I'll accept that. I simply question if his benefit amount is reasonable for him to be able to do this while the rest of us who aren't in his situation work our asses off and still get sunk. I have a co-worker who is getting ready to file for bankruptcy because of medical bills. He is working full time and still finds himself under a million and a half in expenses he never wanted because of the health care system in this country.

my first reaction while reading the article was that how the heck is he going to shower???
He doesn't need to. Obviously has no girlfriend or job to worry about keeping.

He's not. Which means that after a week, he's going to smell like rotten ass.
It's how he plans to keep his place in line.

I'm starting to feel like a broken record. He has a pre-order. He's not in line because he's waiting for the phone. Read the article.
So he's sitting in front of the store for a week for no reason at all??? Maybe this guy does have an issue with his brain, and it's not epilepsy.

I think the extortionate cost of a contract was one reason why so many people were so outraged to hear that a guy with no job was queuing for a new iPhone.

I'm looking forward to see where this story is going. I sense a small GizmodoGate.

Sad...

Wonder if the sunlight hurt his eyes, after being in Mom and Dad's basement for so long?

And I thought I was hardcore by posting my ass in front of the computer at 3am and fighting off 599,000 other mofos.

What do you do besides sit here on a form all day?

AHHHH! I just realised that it is THAT wagoner!

So what do you do apart from sitting there to get a bloody phone that you already pre-ordered? Is this about some stupid press coverage? You mentioned that a few times.

For your information, I work from my computer most of the time. When I'm on Macrumors, I usually travel, commute or wait for flight connections and unlike your iPhone, I can multitask.

But let me tell you, I never worked in any industry where leaving the business behind for a week - even for personal reasons - was possible. That is the privilege of employees.

So what do you do? You said that you had no job then you said that you had a business. What sort of a business is that? Can you do it while sitting there all day? Don't take it the wrong way but do you actually pay tax and do you declare your activity to the social services?

Some of you people are absolutely absurd. All up in arms because you're "paying his disability benefits?" Really? Going to tattle on him for disability fraud? Really?

I guess maybe since he isn't paralyzed and missing fingers or have an eyepatch he should be chained to his desk like the rest of us are, and he's wasting time and a huge loser for hanging outside of the store for a week, but just remember:

The only time he is wasting is his own. Him sitting out there has absolutely no effect on your life, and if it does that's pretty sad. As long as he enjoys himself, that's all that matters.

My first thought was disable and buying and Iphone--------------

what its suppose to say disable and your buying my iphone for me...

I concur with you. If he can camp out for a week in that heat, he can also sit in an air conditioned office and file some papers or something similar that earns him a wage. But as long as the disability check pays for the highest-end phone with a pricey monthly plan, I guess there's no motivation to get a job...

"I do not work due to the fact I am disabled with a seizure disorder"

I dont mean to sound insensitive, but wow. Too disabled to work, but not so disabled that you can't setup a tent and camp out for a week in the Texas heat in June?

Now every post from the guy is about some TV appearance or press photo. So far, this has been pathetic. Now it's getting alarming. There is another thread with 'supporters' moaning about the criticism and skepticism here.

Then there are the ones with corporate accounts that bypass this fanboy line on first day of release, talks with the store manager, the side list is checked, they get their iPhone(s) and walk out.

Thus, VIP customers, I suggest you walk out a back door if you can. Most stores jurisdictions have a fire code requiring two exits. Even if the second exit leads into the mall suite back hallways or a smelly ally, go that way. Some of these fanboys can be rabid.

Aren't ALL Apple customers VIP's ?

Actually I have had several test and EEG's run. I'm non-epilepic. The doctors aren't sure what causes them. I'm disabled because they prevent me from been able to drive leaving no choice but to get around on the bus when needed.

I'v already said several times I have my own money in savings that I am paying with.

My wife was happily employed for three years, full time, plus overtime, with only the bus to get around.

I make no comment whatsoever about anything else. The bus, however, works just fine for many people.

You're classed as disabled on the basis of being unable to drive a car around? In many parts of the world that's considered normal.

Enjoy your week!

If the poster with the account jwagoner is indeed the guy on the sidewalk, we now have a double whopper :

Hey everyone!

I just got the phone with Channel Fox 4 News Dallas/Fort Worth. They will be coming out tonight to do a LIVE broadcast interview with the anchors speaking to me from the studio.

Watch for me! The nightly news broadcast begins at 9:00PM. ;-)

So he is seeking attention after all. So much for those friends saying he isn't...

And he's full of crap. Not being able to drive a car is not a disability. Some of my workmates don't have driver's licenses either and they still come in every morning.

Either you're fit for work, or you're unfit for sitting around on the sidewalk in dallas for 7 days straight.

My fishnet re-usable grocery bag I paid $5 for at Kroger was made by a blind person -it was so noted on the label. I wonder if that person's disability was preventing him from driving too..

Quote from Justin Wagoner:
"There is even a portable toilet around the back of the store if needed."

Needed??? Who can hold it for a week?

Superman can. He has a super bladder and super bowels. Although I wouldn't like to use the same toilet after he's used if from holding it all in for a week. Just imagine the super stink.
