I am purchasing the same desk in this video and looking to get a imac as well but need to know the screen size of the imac in the video. would anyone be able to let me know how big the screen is ? its important as the desk needs to have a similar size screen on it for me to reach all components.. Much Appreciated!

It is a 27" iMac.

Even if it were 21.5" I would suggest you go with the 27" model. You can upgrade the memory after purchase, better graphics which will be important if you are into music and videos etc. If money is not a proble, suggest going for the 1TB PCI-E Flash Storage. It is lightning fast.

Thank You! just to confirm lol from 1-100 how sure are you that it is a 27? haha have to be sure on my end.. and yes i am going into this purchase without constraining myself as i plan on having this computer and desk for a decade! I am new to the computer / building world do i need get everything upgraded through the apple site or can i buy the ram/ storage third party and load it in myself ? thanks for the help

i was leaning towards the 24" as well.... i think its obviously an older model. Now i am pretty sure this model is the 27" for sure... it will work in my setup but will partially block my controllers.
How significant is the performance between a pretty maxed out 27" to 21.5" imac? can i still produce music, edit videos, etc at a high level with both ?

The 27" has a markedly faster processor, and double the RAM. Also, you wouldn't want to do high level stuff of that kind on a 21" these days.

It is for sure a 27" Cinema Display. The 24" had the silver aluminium visible around the edges, as can be seen on this picture

The one in the video does not seem to have that (plus it look like a 27" screen)

Definitely NOT an iMac.
All iMacs have a silver "chin", a wider bezel at the bottom - black Apple on aluminum.
The Apple displays have that even, black bezel, with the silver Apple.

(edit: missed the second clip  which is surely an iMac.)
Anyway, to reinforce the idea: If you get a new iMac, with that kind of use, should be a 27-inch.

The confusion is coming from two different clips posted by the OP o_O

One is the Cinema Display and the other an iMac.
