    Hi folks,

Does anybody know if Apple can still replace the battery in a mid-2011 15" Macbook Pro?

Given the news today that the company will stop replacing older 2012/2013 models with newer machines (in favor of replacing the batteries instead) I wanted to try and figure out where I stand with my 6-year-old laptop...

My battery barely lasts 2 hours these days, so I'm looking into what options I have.

EDIT: I just realised that my machine is now technically vintage, which means that Apple no longer supports repairs: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201624

Any suggestions regarding my options (apart from dropping $2500-$3000 on a new MBP) would be appreciated.

    $99 for the battery.

Or have a local shop do it.

If you are in California, vintage computes can be fixed as long as it is not a mail in.

It is the crypto miners building big farms to mine for bitcoins. They have also driven up the price of graphics cards.
