this thread isn't for joking really, I'm worried. was sitting and saw an ant crawling near my macbook but not anywhere on it or closer. can those machines attract ants without any reason : sugar on it, food, or unclean macbook.
I assure you that my machine is totally clean. never ate near it. probably this is the first time I saw an ant near it, maybe came from somewhere behind.

I used to notice ants crawling on the screen of my past HP Pavilion. but this one wasn't clean.

Hahahahaha are you sure this isn't a joke?

I saw an ant crawl near my friend Mike once, maybe Mike attracts ants too!

By themselves? No.

If you spill something on it, or near it, then yes, that substance can attract ants.

not a joke.

I think there was food underneath the box I used to put my mac on it and use it. this where it came from.
I'm not really sure if there are ants in the machine now. this is the reason I'm worried

I think if you saw some ant near your macbook you'll be worried too :), nothing funny about this :)

Well food can certainly attract ants. Including food on a Macbook Pro.

Weird only a couple months ago I read about the exact same problem. I think the conclusion was he dropped food in his MBP.

Any chance the ant could have just been there and it was totally unrelated to your macbook?

Apple really needs to address this problem. I've had it with Apple. I'm not buying another MBP until they get BR, matte screens, and insect repellent modules inside the casing.
