Hey!

I searched a lot on the web for OS X Mavericks installer file, but i didn't find any, but the updates. It was removed from the App Store, so that's not an option, it is why i'm here. Can someone give me a link for the full Mavericks installer? I want to create a bootable disk. An Apple ID with the app purchased would be fine as well, but i don't think, anyone could give me they own. Thanks in advance.

You could try allmacworld.com and search for 'Mavericks'. This downloads in less than an hour. However, it doesn't have a valid signature, so you have to create an installer that looks a bit like the Mac OS X Snow Leopard DVD. Do not use createinstallmedia. Search for 'lifewire create yosemite installer disk utility' and follow that, except substituting Yosemite apps for Mavericks.

I couldn't find untouched 10.9.5 full installer on the Net? Do you have one?

Just follow the instructions above. If you just search 'mavericks', you won't find it. Search for 'allmacworld mavericks' and use that.

try this:

Edit: Updated Apple store link

Code:
// OS X Mavericks 10.9
// Install mas-cli:
brew install mas
// Or with MacPorts:
sudo port install mas
// Download Mavericks with mas-cli. Previous download may be required:

mas install 675248567

 //If you have installers for 10.9 Mavericks, 10.8 Mountain Lion, and 10.7 Lion check their certificates:

pkgutil --check-signature /path/to/installer/app

//And set the clock in terminal prior to that date:
//To change the date from Terminal (which is likely all that will be accessible), follow these steps, which sets it to //February 1st 2016 for example:
//In the installer, choose Utilities > Terminal.
//Enter:

sudo date 0201010116

//Quit Terminal and continue the install.

Those old installers are not signed so expired certificates are of no concern.

I know it's a bit of an older thread, but anyone has a link? I couldn't find any good ones, and I can't dowload old OSX versions on the app store anymore, thanks a lot!

Some people over in the Early Intel Macs section have recommended this from the Internet Archive, although I have not personally used it. https://archive.org/details/install-os-x-mavericks.app

I also have a DMG of Mavericks I can send to anyone who PMs or emails me. I made it in a particular way, by running CreateInstallMedia and targeting a virtual disk instead of a real one, and it's what I personally use when I need to do a reinstall.

This doesn't appear to work if you don't already have Mavericks in your download history. The command pops up this message:

Once again, this may be an older thread.
But, what I got was this:

1. The install went to an image, and could do nothing.
2. I don't have the installer, I'm installing from elsewhere and will take to hours to finish.
3. When I do the terminal command xattr -cr it does nothing, like a enter key.

I have posted in a previous forum post on this website for one for testing something.

Do you need only Mavericks?
Can you use something newer - such as El Capitan, or Sierra?
What I am asking - Is Mavericks your only choice?
Later OS X versions are easier to find.

1. Mavericks is my only choice.
2. OS X Versions end at El Capitan, Sierra is macOS 10.12 and so forth.

I have OS X 10.9 as "Install OS X Mavericks" as an application, but not 10.9.5 as I have to have 10.9 in order to use 10.9.5 installed as an application.

All MBP11,4 (mid 2014) came with Mavericks. So if your disk is blank and you do internet recovery it will install Mavericks.
You can also use Macrecovery.py:
Code:
macrecovery % python macrecovery.py -b Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6 -m 00000000000FNN100 download
Downloading 031-10295...
Saving http://oscdn.apple.com/content/downloads/33/62/031-10295/gho4r94w66f5v4ujm0sz7k1m0hua68i6oo/RecoveryImage/RecoveryImage.dmg to RecoveryImage.dmg...
192.0 MBs downloaded...

That is hard to do, I may have to do this another way.

I have MacBook Pro 9,2. (Mid 2012)
Follow the link I posted to download RecoveryImage.dmg.
After downloading use:
Code:
sudo asr restore --source /path/to/RecoveryImage.dmg --target /dev/diskXsY --erase -noverify
to an 8GB or bigger USB drive.

What does it do, install mavericks or something else?

UPDATE: script above never worked
It is obvious you have to change /path/to/RecoveryImage.dmg and /dev/diskXsY accordingly. You can just drag/drop the image file and the partition instead of typing the path.
