Can you walk into a store to buy a 6 now?

I was able to buy my iPhone 6 at day 2 in Italy by waiting in line for about 15 minutes last saturday.
I guess it's harder to get it now, most Apple stores in my country only have the 16GB model and no iPhone 6+

About a week ago, I walked right into my local Apple Store and exchanged my 6+ for a 6. It seemed like they had a lot of inventory, because there were a lot of people that came in and bought them while I was there.
I find stuff like this frustrating; I tried to return a 6+ for a 6 at an AT&T store and have to wait 3 weeks for them to order one. I understand that apple prioritizes their stock over carriers, but someone being able to just walk in and purchase one while I need to wait weeks is kinda crazy.
Was just at the Apple store earlier today. It all depends on what carrier you are going with but they did have the 6 Pluses in stock.
I just became limited if I want to upgrade before 10/18. AT&T will allow me to do an early 2 year contract upgrade but I have to get the phone at one of their stores. Other stores can't process it. I've found Apple stores that have stock. Space Grey tends to be the most popular. I just checked AT&T stores in a 150 mile radius... nothing. The one that I called said that it would be a few weeks if I place an order.
Apple store here in South Carolina had only 128gb in gold in the 6 but had the 6 plus in 16gb and 128gb in stock. Wife went in originally thinking she wanted the 6 but changed her mind and she loves it.
Forget what I said about being limited to AT&T. I logged in this morning and was good to purchase anywhere. I wanted a 64GB space grey but couldn't find any so I spent an extra hundred and ordered the 128GB version online. Drove an hour to get to the Apple Store that had it. Was in and out in 6 minutes. Meanwhile, there was about 20 people in line outside the store. I was told they were waiting to buy phones but didn't reserve on online.
