Got the email and my status has now changed to Shipped. YIPPEEE.

Only problem is that they are using UPS who screwed up my previous Apple order. Going to be a worrying Friday!!!!

However with the huge price difference between the 2 phone models, do you think less people will be inclined to get the X?

iPhone 6 was huge, but I believe price didn't not get that huge jump.

iPhone X is such a different way to use the iPhone compared to the last 10 years, I hope it drives back a lot of people :D

That’s a good point. Though in Canada the 6 Plus was the first time I remember spending >$1000 on a phone. The X is still considerably more than that anyway.

I’m in the UK and I still haven’t had a shipment email yet. Meant to be arriving tomorrow!

The Apple Store app just says “preparing for dispatch”

Hummm

You'll be fine. Heh...bet you're wishing you had ordered from CarPhone Warehouse now? :) Apple's going to be pissed when they see they shipped some of the X's a day early!!

===============

Some of the 17-24 crowd in the US even got bumped up. Now those that are left are getting shipment notifications and a November 8th date.
Wonder if they'll allocate any of those extra phones elsewhere??? :)

Few guys in the UK forum have theirs today !!!!

Your combined excitement has me really jealous as someone in the Nov. 21-28 ship date camp. Looking at options for this Friday, I’m definitely lining up outside Rideau Centre (I’ve gone so far as to purchase a pop-up single person tent), but I’m debating between the Apple Store and the Bell Store (or maybe even The Source?). Both are opening early, and as far as I can gather both will have walk-in availability, but I’m concerned the carriers won’t have nearly as much stock as the Apple Store. Anyone who’s done this before have any advice or willing to ponder any guesses?

The line at Rideau for the 6 was huge. Seems to be a popular spot. Bayshore has often not had as many people, show up, but I don’t know if they will have as much stock. If you need to wait outside, at least Bayshore is covered.

So my order status has finally changed to "Shipped"!

There's one last concern in my mind before the phone is delivered. Should I request that the phone be held at a UPS CC for pickup, or just let it come on Friday? I've been hearing stories of some shady UPS drivers taking packages, so I'm kind of scared.

Chill out. UPS will get to you.

Long-time thread reader, first-time contributor.

My question is this: Is anyone with a scheduled pick-up time at an Apple Store on Friday seeing movement on their order status? Or would this not usually happen in the same way as a home delivery?

I've had a hold on my cc since the weekend, but the status of my order hasn't changed from 'processing items', which it moved to only a few hours after putting my reservation down. Not sure whether I should be concerned about this...

Same here. Have a scheduled pickup at the Mapleview store in Burlington tomorrow and it still says processing items. Called Apple yesterday and rep said everything is fine.

Are we the only 2 doing in store pickups? No one else is talking about it.

It's been asked several times on the larger (mostly American) thread. When your phones are scanned into the store inventory (tonight/tomorrow morning) your status will change to Ready for Pickup.

That's it.

Thanks as I haven’t looked at that thread.

Apple’s order status page lists “shipping to store” as one of the possible status indicators. That’s what I was expecting to see but I guess they go straight to Ready for Pickup.

Yep, a lot of the Americans that were 11/17-24 got bumped up and shipped - expecting 11/8 deliveries, but those that have tracking are only showing an initial scan at Zhengzhou (Foxconn).
I am guessing these are all IUP peeps.

Nope. There were a bunch from multiple carriers that paid full pop.

Edit: The vast majority were IUP, but there were some that weren't....pretty indicative that entire group will flip to the 8th.
Thanks. I guess there is hope. Seems like a lot were Silver.

Oh just got an email from Apple with my Apple Care + agreement. I now have the serial number for my X. This is now starting to seem real.

I also got my case yesterday and based on it's size this will be a nice change from my 7+.

Good Good Good

Yeah...saw a couple 64GB space grey's go too though (MY phone, dammit!!!)

The Americans always get more Apple love. I am hoping they'll include some of the others in similar date ranges from outside of the US in that shipment (you know, us!) :)

I also noticed some mid-December US orders (IUP) are getting bumped to the Nov 17-24 spot now.
