This is wrong. I called Best Buy and they're not selling unlocked for a few weeks. Seems they want to take advantage of the situation until Dec 1 rolls around.
[doublepost=1509591987][/doublepost]Has anyone in Canada actually had their orders bumped up yet?

same here i called rogers and they said “The phone might be or might not be unlocked at the time of launch. We don’t know yet because we’re transitioning for dec1st. If it’s locked, u still need to pay $50 to unlock it even after dec1st”

I don't think they can charge for an unlock after Dec 1.

They’re lying to you. They are obliged to unlock it for free after December 1.

they said anything purchased before dec 1st has a cost for unlocking

"The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) has announced a ban on locked cellphones and unlocking fees for individual and business wireless service customers.

Starting December 1, 2017, wireless customers will be able to have their smartphones unlocked free of charge upon request from their provider, while new devices must be provided unlocked."

Oh boy, seeing everyone report that they have labels created is getting me a bit worried that I'm going to be bumped back like some people have been today :S

Hey Guys,

For those who can't track you order yet on the UPS site using a reference: It seems as though the Postal Code is case sensitive and must be inputted exactly as on the order. I put my postal code many time as HOH OHO, but it only worked when I put H0h0h0 (likely because thats how the order was submitted). Finally got it to work by putting in the postal code with the right letters capitalized. And for the reference number: its the phone number attached to the order in the following format 4165550000 (no +1 or 1 before the number). Hope that helps!

Thanks for the tip, tried it, still no luck unfortunately :(

I think CRTC would take issue with that.

I tried adding with the 1 it finally worked. Left the country and postal code blanked
Still no dice. Thanks everyone for the tips though, even if mine doesn't come on Friday I hope everyone enjoys their new phones :D

Oh darn, now the hold on my credit card went away too!

Go to your order on Apple.com and make sure the postal code and phone number you are entering on UPS match the information on Apple exactly (phone number will be partially hidden, but just make sure it is the same number. Mine was different and once I noticed that I got I working.

Still nothing, thanks though, it’s great to see everyone helping each other out!

just got a confirmation email from apple that my device has been shipped with tracking number

Your combined excitement has me really jealous as someone in the Nov. 21-28 ship date camp. Looking at options for this Friday, I’m definitely lining up outside Rideau Centre (I’ve gone so far as to purchase a pop-up single person tent), but I’m debating between the Apple Store and the Bell Store (or maybe even The Source?). Both are opening early, and as far as I can gather both will have walk-in availability, but I’m concerned the carriers won’t have nearly as much stock as the Apple Store. Anyone who’s done this before have any advice or willing to ponder any guesses?

I’ve lined up for the iPhone 6 and 6s. Considering this is the launch of a new design from Apple, I’m saying it will be a lot more like the 6. Me and my cousin showed up at about 11am the day before and there was already about 5-6 people ahead of us, at Square One in Mississauga. By the end of the night there was 8-10 rows of people in a giant hallway inside the mall. By the morning, the line was out the door, I don’t think it was 1000 but it sure felt like it lol. That year they let us stay overnight inside however the year after for the 6s we had to wait outside until they brought us in at 6am. All iPhone 6 Plus’s in Gold were sold out by about 30 people into the lineup (most sought after spec at the time), mostly scalpers who brought their parents and siblings to get as many phones as they could. One guy who brought his parents that couldn’t even speak English was super upset that he couldn’t get the Gold 6 Plus and made a huge fuss about it but still stuck around. Apple comes out at about 6am to give you a reservation for the phone you want and then they bring you in 10-15 people at a time closer to opening hours. Hope this helps!

Heh...then they're giving different people different answers. :)

Whoever it was doesn't know what they're talking about (or they're just lying to you for fun).

And, think about it guys. You're Apple. You have a new device launch on November 3rd. Canada's about as important to you as say, oh, Chicago in terms of a market. Are you really going to produce a different SKU for a few Canadian carriers that will only be valid for less than a month?!
[doublepost=1509614531][/doublepost]Wow! Over on the UK thread, at least a couple of guys have their iPhone X's TODAY by ordering from Car Phone Warehouse and being delivered by DPD.

Apple's gonna be PISSED!! Think Car Phone Warehouse will get dropped? :)
