I went into the Apple Store yesterday and had a good look at the Silver and SG and prefer the SG; I guess it's personal preference. I'm going to sit tight. Would have been great to get one at the store before the order shipped, but I don't really want to go through the hassle of buying at the store and going back to return my preorder phone when it arrives. If all we're talking about is waiting until Monday or Tues it's not worth it. We should know later today or tomorrow on the timing.

I just came back from the Apple store and I decided to wait for my SG preorder. I like the silver/white in the back, but I found the stainless steel band too shinny for my liking. Just like I would never put a chrome wheel on my car.

Beside I also make someone really happy that I cancelled my reservation at the store so someone can grab it.
 
Doesn’t look encouraging for those of us with pre-orders that are hung-up in China or Korea right now. They don’t seem to be moving very fast. My 256g SG spent 2 days in ZhengZhou waiting for the flight to Incheon and it looks like it will spend another 2 days in Incheon before going to Anchorage. Too many phones chasing too few planes I guess.

Was hopeful when I got UPS’s estimate of Nov 13th that beat Apple’s estimated Nov 17th date but doesn’t look possible now unless they can make up a lot of ground once it hits Anchorage I guess I shouldn’t complain as we were originally given Nov 21-28, but there seems to be some problems.

I have one shipped on 6 and one on 7, both won't be delivered tomorrow for sure....I have to wait for Monday
 
Mine via UPS scheduled for delivery tomorrow has just departed KY.

For those who are currently in Anchorage, there is 6 planes leaving to SDF in the next 2 hours... Chances your phones are on one of them.
 
Mine got bumped to Nov 14 in the morning....just departed Hong Kong at 21:57 local time whatever that is.....don't see it getting bumped up to tomorrow. Sigh.

I hope if not it at least gets bumped up to Monday. Not sure why Tuesday. Sigh x2.

It's probably not gonna be on Monday since it's a part of Rememberance Day...

I keep forgetting...Remembrance Day isn't a stat day in Ontario but I keep forgetting that mail still takes the day off. Lame lame lame.

Yours is ahead of mine!

edit: spoke too soon, mine is in AK now as well.

Has anyone got the screen protector put on in store by Apple? The guy said they were out of them but he said they are the best option. I guess I’ll wait a few days and check again.

The price is outrageous and the reviews are pretty bad. Just get from eBay or amazon. The belkin is no good and will break easily.

Maybe. Here’s the Remembrance Day holiday schedule in Canada for UPS off their website.

Remembrance Day- November 11, 2017 (Saturday) - UPS will be closed in the provinces of British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and all Territories on Saturday, November 11. UPS will also be closed in the province of British Columbia on Monday, November 13.

I had a delivery date of 13th, pushed back to 10th after it got to Anchorage. So they are definitely delivering in Ontario on Monday.

Usually go to South Dekota then Calgary.

UPS isn't the mail. They'll be delivering in areas (such as Ontario) on Monday where there isn't a holiday.

Heh. Canada Customs. When are federal employees taking the holiday? The Friday or the Monday?

Edit: Found it. Federal employees are taking the holiday on the monday. So, if your customs clearance isn't done on the Friday, then that would explain the delay.

Makes sense....but I'll be shocked if it didn't clear customs tomorrow. I'm expecting some updates by the morning...hopefully all good ones. Don't want to get my hopes up though.
 
customs work 7x24, any one got off plane will go through customs, they won't wait in airport till next day, us and Canada border won't close on holidays

If I’m not mistaken, it’s only held for that business day then put back into the pool of available phones, could be wrong though
