I think the problem is that none of this information is communicated by Apple or UPS. As far as we know we're all just waiting for Tim Cook to wave his magic shipping wand.

This is exactly it.

If we had the proper information and knew why there was a holdup and what our order status was, I think we'd all be very understanding. After all, everyone here recognizes that it's an extremely popular product and that it takes a while to meet demand.

The issue is that we're all being left in the dark. Even the statuses from Apple and UPS haven't been keeping us informed.

They're like the equivalent of an update progress bar that seems indefinitely stuck at 90%. If the bar isn't moving, then it's not telling you anything. The fact that it says 90% doesn't give you any peace of mind if it's been stuck there for hours without any sign of advancement.

Ok, so we all got it 'in transit'. Can we keep this thread down to any more type of movement from here?

Im in Sask, UPS will be here in about 1.5 hours from now, will update from there.

In Transit here too, cut off was 12noon for distribution for today delivery so looks like on schedule for tomorrow.

I guess everyone was upset like me with the Shipped on Saturday then nothing while in the US people were getting Shipped then immediately Delivery times for the next day. Guess our Customs is thorough

Shipped, from China on a weekend. US Customs, Canada Customs and considerably more distance. Also, very few flights from Louisville to Canada. Check out flight aware in the wee hours of the morning and see how many UPS aircraft are in the air to various UPS facilities all over the US. They have a much larger network there because there is more volume.

Ya 500ft from US side to Canada at most crossings haha

Flight aware means nothing. All speculation from other threads.

Out first watch went through the same process last week. Looking back at the UPS tracking scans the watches are in customs now and will move to Concord. Ours went to Mount Hope then Montreal, Moncton and finally Halifax. All over night. I still expect my watch tomorrow around 5 pm.

I know this thread has gotten pretty long but you are still supposed to read earlier posts in case the question has been answered. There seems to be a high number of people who just want to cry an moan about a perceived wrong.

Apple provides a delivery date on shipment. They usually hit that date. If there was no UPS online tracking you'd sit and wait for the promised delivery and there would be no b****ing unless a delivery date was missed.

Yet because the info on UPS is not what people expect they cry and post things like "worst launch debacle in history" even though Apple/ UPS deliver exactly as they said they would. Seems fair to me.

You bitching about bitching makes it better, yes?

Agree with MartyCan. People shouldn't be getting worked up unless Apple misses the date that they've given them. Set your expectation on that date.

Count yourselves lucky that you have a date - many people don't!

So for everyone with their watches 'In Transit', we should get it tomorrow? Any chance of getting it today? Someone mentioned there was a cutoff time of noon.

I'm curious about space gray sports.

The other threads are US-based, and the timing varies by country according to Apple support. I'm at XX:11:12. If anyone's had a 42 mm SG sport shipped, when did you order?

Thanks.

Noon was the cut-off for today delivery. If it reached there small packaging centres before noon we could've had it today. In Transit means they're on there way to them, so too late.

Everything is on schedule for tomorrow looks like. 1 more day then everyone will disappear from here and have their watches.

No, you'll get it on the date on the shipment notice that Apple sent to you.

Friday they told my my Blue Sport would deliver Apr. 28. It is "on truck for delivery" today. Rigt on time.

My wife got 2 confirmations, one Friday and the other Sunday. Both promised for April 29. Both are now showing up in UPS Canada possession. 99.9% odds they will deliver tomorrow as promised.

Well I've posted how the logistics work about 8 times in this (and two other threads) over the last 2 days. If people read at least a few pages of the thread before posting they would not need to ask the same question that has been asked and aswered many times already.

Maybe I'm missing something but I don't get what people mean by the date on the shipment notice.

This is the shipment notice I got:

Thanks MartyCan. I'll wait impatiently here.

Trust me I share your impatience but understanding the process helps. I trusted that when I was advised Apr 28 that it will be here today (blue sport). My SG has not shipped yet and that is a bit annoying as I ordered at launch and that was the one I really want. But it will ship when it ships.
