Canadian Apple Watch order thread

Who here is ordering from the Canadian Apple store?

Pretty expensive prices, I think I'm going to order the 42MM sport with black band, and find a way to get it for US dollars at a later time, so i can return the one from the Canadian Apple store within 15 days.

Whats everyone else doing from Canada?
 
I wish Apple didn't adjust the Canadian prices. It makes buying this so much harder. The difference makes it more expensive than the actual exchange rate.
 
Ye i live near the border, but I want it on launch day, then I plan to figure out a way to get it from the states.
 
Not a fan of Canadian prices, but biting the bullet anyway. 42mm Stainless Steal w/ Black Sport Band here.

Reasoning: I know that if I buy aluminum I'll just lust after the SS model, and I know I'll want a band that's sweat/water resistant and really comfortable.

I'll probably buy another band for dressier occasions in the future.

I live maybe 20-30 minutes from the border. Is it really worth purchasing it in the U.S. with the current exchange rate? I guess if you have US funds from before the recent spike in exchange rate?
 
i was debating between the black stainless steel or the regular but i made up my mind and going to order 42mm Stainless Steal w/Milanese Band.

Bring it on!
 
I have two watches I'm ready to pull the trigger on, depending on which would be delivered first - the 48mm sport silver with white band or the SS with black band. $800 is gonna hurt. :confused:
 
Yeah Canadian pricing blows, but I'm going to be in for a Sport w/ white band, or SS with white sports band. Will probably be adding the Milanese Loop at some point after the hype and massive traffic dies down.

Now to keep debating the $260 difference between Aluminum vs. SS.

On the topic of ordering, how necessary is it to wake up at 3 am EST to do this?
 
If you want it by the 24th, you probably have too. Im going to be waking up.
 
My original choice (42mm SS w/ Milanese) is a whopping $919 plus tax :eek: :eek: and after seeing all the reviews I'm scaling all the way back to the cheapest model (38mm Space Grey Sport) which is "only" $449.

I figure at nearly half the price I can put the rest towards the 2nd gen next year.
 
Sticking to the SS Milanese.

Hopefully they have reserve and pickup, like they did for the 6+. I got mine on launch day and it took less than 15 minutes, and that is after waking up an hr late to reserve.
 
I'm going with a 42mm SS with black sports band.
Curious to see what the 3rd party strap offerings will be like.
 
I'm going for the 42mm Space Grey Sport. Was going to get the SS with the black band but not feeling the chrome anymore. Might pick up the 38mm Silver Sport for the wife. I'll probably order it and see what she thinks when we go check them out this weekend.
 
I'm getting the 38mm SS with Black Sport Band. Btw, where are you guys from? I'm from Ancaster (outside Hamilton) and very excited for preorders tomorrow morning!

Toronto here. Fairview mall is my closest store.

It turns out Eaton Centre is the only store in Toronto getting the Edition. Just in case anyone was interested...lol!
 
i am getting 42mm ss black sports band.. will get link or milanese later on.. that way will have 2 bands and also would save couple of bucks :p

i am in edmonton.. going tomorrow morning to southgate to take a look.. there is no reservation available with genius bar for tomorrow in any of the stores in edmonton.. so i think they have reserved everything for watch...
 
I'm still on the fence about whether I should get one or not, but if I do decide to get one, it'll be the 42 mm Space Grey Apple Watch Sport. That Canadian exchange rate really hurts :(

(I'm currently in Toronto, though I don't think I'll be visiting any Apple Store anytime soon... It's bad enough on a normal day, I don't want to imagine how packed it will be when the Watch goes on display.)

Anyone know whether you can also Reserve Online for In-Store pickup?

i talked to apple support twice, and they said it would be best to use website if you want in-store pickup as the store app might not have option for in-store pickup.. so i am logging into both things and see what can get me 24th delivery..
