UPS in general. Last experience with an iPhone delivery on launch day was back around the iPhone 5 era, I think...

In general, the trucks go back to the UPS hub, and stuff went from the hub to the local locations.

Best bet is to call UPS directly, and get the scoop. Or your local store.

My experience with UPS in general is they "attempt to make the delivery" even though I am home and no UPS truck comes into our area. Then you get a notice saying Attempted delivery at 5:25pm and the hub closes at 5:30pm.

Main reason I got ours shipped to a business address.

I've also had that happen a number of times. And considering my condo buzzer connects to my cell phone, I know they're full of BS...

Ya I just confirmed with UPS that they will try to make 3 delivery attempts. You can indicate on the notice they leave the first day that you'd like it dropped off at an access point, but we're looking at Monday night at the earliest. Wish I knew a more specific time!

Even more encouraging than getting my 6s tomorrow, is the 6s Plus which made the second cut (ordered 45 minutes into the preorder on the 12th).

Just changed to "Preparing for Shipment" this afternoon. Slated to be here Oct 7-14. I think it should be sooner than that now. :)

I have now departed:

  • Minneapolis, MN, US
  • 09/24/2015 5:47 P.M.
  • Departure Scan
  • 09/24/2015 4:41 P.M.
  • Arrival Scan

Still no movement from KY
They are probably in Canada now. Not sure where you are, but I am in the GTA. If they are not at UPS in Canada now, they will be shipped to Toronto and Hamilton on the 4:30AM flight, arriving at 5:30AM and will be out for delivery and you will receive your phone by end of day tomorrow. That much is almost guaranteed if Apple says. People worry way too much.

If it's not in Canada now, I'd say half on ON is going to be 50/50 on if they get it tomorrow. Just think how many people have pre-ordered in ON. Each one of those have to be unloaded and sorted within a few hours and then hand delivered.

Mine just went Louisville to Minnesota...who knows where it will go next or where it will clear customs...hopefully to YVR next to clear and then will come either on Air Canada tonight or Air North tomorrow morning....maybe I will actually get it on Friday...UPS still says so....

Spoke with ups customer service and they said mine hasn't cleared Canadian customs and most likely won't show up tomorrow. Hopefully he's wrong.

Now that all of the launch phones are in North America everyone should have theirs by tomorrow IF your postal code falls on the 9/25 date when put into apples postal code checker thing.

Where is that URL?

And it doesn't matter - there's not a dozen planes leaving KY to come to Canada. At best it gets in TO at 6am. There's not enough time to sort, load another plane, fly to another province, unload, sort and deliver.

Our best bet would be to assume they were not scanned... I've had packages getting delivered on time even though the tracking history wasn't suggesting on time delivery.

It'll still make it guys, Im just wondering how I can get it to hold for pick up. I called and they couldn't do it.

Anyone trying to get it held at the depot?

Might have to call the hamilton depot managers cell phone #, but thats last resort.

I don't know if it is always like that, but I never could make a change before the first delivery attempt in the past.

I can't wait to see how foolish everyone who has a delivery date of Sept 25 feels when they get their phones on launch day and the whole night before (right now) they are panicking about not getting it Haha! I have used UPS and FedEx many times for business and you would be surprised how many times I have had packages arrive at my business or home and the tracking still says it is somewhere else. People also do not know how efficient UPS hubs are at sorting and shipping packages (it is their job after all). Those planes are unloaded so quickly, it is crazy. Chances are, a lot of the sorting has already been done at time of shipping in China. Don't panic people. It's a phone after all. Not an organ needing to get there ASAP for a live transplant.

H'mm ... I've received the 5, 5s and 6 on launch day via UPS. Always late in the day, most after 6pm. Seems like I'm always towards the end on his route. With the 6, I asked the driver if I was his last delivery and he said he had a couple more left. I think they will deliver to 7pm in the GTA.
