Canadian: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

Ordered 2 Space Gray 128GB Unlocked phones via the app for Apple store pick up at 8:30 a.m. Surprised I could get the first slot ordering at 8:00 a.m. Easier to pick them up than wait for UPS.

Still undecided whether I want these phones. At least I have a week to decide.
 
I was pleasantly surprised with the in store pick up option. I had planned to order through Rogers but of course the site wasn't up. So I panicked and thought I'd just buy it outright on the Apple Store app. Went through and chose my gold 6s+ 64gb and there was the option for in store reservation. Done and back in bed within 10 mins. Compared to being up over an hour last year on a work night, this was a great experience.
 
Rogers ordering system has always been an issue, they take the orders for pickup on launch day, but every year they come up with and excuse why they can't get you phone on time.

always preorder right from Apple even if you are ordering for a carrier locked phone.

Yup, reserve from Apple and pick up in store
 
So I broke down and ordered a 6S+, I went through the Apple store. Originally I had planned on buying through Telus as I figured it would be easiest but they only sold the phones through a 2 year contract and when I looked at that I would have had to change my plan to a more expensive one.

Ordered an iPhone 6s Space Grey unlocked from apple, did in store pickup for 11:30am, I can't wait!

I did both just in case lol. Not sure which one I'll go with.

Does anyone know how smooth of a process it is to pick up in store? I walked past an Apple store last year and there was a huge line. Was this just people without a reservation trying to get one? If I show up at my scheduled time do I just walk in and pay?
 
My 6s Plus Silver 64GB is currently "Processing Items" and my delivery time frame is 9/25 - 9/29. Will I get the phone on launch day?

Last year there were 2 lines. One for reservations and one for without. You check in and they will come to you when it is your time. Smooth.
 
If it says 9/25-9/29 click on the Apple Pre-order at the top it says "About iPhone 6s and 6S+ delivery dates" click on that link it takes you to another screen put in your Postal Code and it gives you a refined delivery time. Mine says 9/25-9/29 but after checking on the link above it says 9/25. make sure you put the space in your postal code XXX XXX

Thanks for this. Mine also said September 25th. I think, rather than risk the chaos at the Apple store, I will just have my phone held at a UPS store and pick it up there. On the UPS website it says that if you do this the package is usually in the store by 8:30 AM the day of delivery.
 
Anyone know how to cancel an in-store reservation? I know I won't be charged if I don't show up but I feel a bit bad that somebody else could reserve that phone. The Apple website said there was no way to do it online.
 
Yes except the following day is Saturday and I know the UPS depot be me has really limited hours through the week for pick up (like two 2hour window) so don't know what their pick-up hours on Saturday would be.

Ya that's why I'm just going to have it held at the closest UPS pickup location. I'll most likely be at work when they try to deliver it so I don't want to have to wait until Saturday (or Monday worst case scenario) if I miss them.
