Of course Dell, HP, and Lenovo will ship more with their $400 laptops that feel like a used one from 2005. They should compare their products that compete against Apple in features like the XPS and MacBook PRO.

The questions I have is A) if consumers see the M1 (and ASi, a a whole) as a disruptive technology, B) the sales implications if that is the case, and C) if Apple will continue selling the M1 Macs at a discount after the M1 is replaced by something faster, much like they do the iPhone--this would put the Mac in even more direct competition with the entry products sold by these other names, and put it within reach of those who may be unable to afford a $1,000 laptop--with Intel CPUs, this was probably never possible, but with ASi it might.

Additionally, does someone know if a sold-but-not-yet-shipped order is counted in the quarterly figures? To my understanding it is NOT.
