eBay the dam watch. Don't listen to these tree hungers and animal rights folks. It's just a watch. If u have the opportunity to make some money legally, do it.

I find them to be a bunch of hypocrites. Here they are talking about morality yet they buy products from possibly the most ruthless and immoral company of all time.

Well let's just hope those selling several for a large profit used some sense and didn't purchase with the same ID , card etc... Because multiple orders are being cancelled according to some members

I'm pretty sure the East India Company was worse. But you can't judge morals like that. It's not like there's a moral line and everyone just picks a spot to stand on it, everyone values different actions and intentions differently.

I pre-ordered and will be getting my watch on 4/24 but I've been eyeing the prices on ebay for ***** and giggles to see if there's an opportunity for a huge profit.

So far, it seems like the acceptable price is somewhere between 500-600 for the 42mm sports. IMO, that is not worth selling my long awaited watch. All the sport watches I've seen in the 150% markup range (+$1,000) have zero bids. I just don't think it's a high demand product like the iPhone itself. Acceptable auction pricing, of course, may change as launch day gets closer or even after launch when people start realizing that they're not going to get a watch from Apple any time soon and start getting desperate.

I ordered a watch initially thinking I was going to dive into app development for it, but having read the reviews and learning exactly what developers can and cannot do at this time, I was not encouraged. Thought maybe I'd keep it for myself, but knew that having not worn a watch for almost three decades would be a barrier to entry. After trying on a watch at the Apple store Friday (and thinking about it all weekend), I realized I'll never get used to a watch again and chose to cancel my order and let somebody else have it earlier. I did ask friends, family and colleagues if they'd like to have it instead, and got NO buyers.

Which the shareholders, including many tens of millions of people (including possibly your much older family members) with their diversified retirement fund holdings and investments, just love, as well as several government entities getting revenue from employee income taxes, property taxes, VAT taxes, etc. Plus with the actual paying customers (as opposed to trolls) giving them higher customer satisfaction ratings than any other business anyone else here runs or works for. Thus, the world might be a better place if more people were equally ruthless and immoral.

*face palm

nevermind. I'm not talking about the OP. You have clearly not read the entire thread.

Oh dear... I really don't think what the OP posted is a big enough deal to compare it with murder, so no, I don't get it

Maybe we should remember this is a forum that is focused on materialism, and not a guide for humanity :apple:

Nah, its ok I have cancelled the sport, sorry if there was a lot of words in my post to say this, but its in there somewhere

I really don't believe that I have entered into a contract with Apple not to resell the item I have purchased.

To my knowledge they have not asked, nor have I inferred that this was my not my intention.

Anyhow, I respect your higher level of morals. It does feel quite nice to be honest that in cancelling my 3rd watch I have in fact made one person's day a better one :)

Explain?

You can't just say something so outlandish and expect to get away with it.

Like the original iPhone, it's useless for native app development. Like the original iPhone, Apple will almost certainly open up more watch app development possibilities in the future. So I ordered one so I can mock up and test some UI ideas and be ready to code when they ship the "real" watch SDK, probably later this year. In the app business, you don't want to waste any possible "first mover" advantages.

do whtever you want man. i was gonna cancel mine ether way after try ons, but sadly sg sport sold out so only bought one. you want few more bucks in your pocket and maybe secure some funding for ... next gen watch?;)

OP, there's some chance you won't be able to recoup your cost by selling on Ebay / Craigslist. Just ask the people who bought PS3s at launch to scalp.

I think there's a good chance you'll be able to make a few dollars, but there's no guarantee.

You mean PS4s? I flipped PS4s and XB1s and made a tidy profit. Not as much as I expected, but was satisfied.

I hope OP sells it on eBay to an equally immoral buyer who swaps it with the watch he bought and broke but claims it arrived like that.

Since eBay almost always sides with the buyers, OP would be screwed, and IMO he/she would deserve every bit of it.

That would assume the seller didn't take note of the serial number on the watch. ;)
