I keep dreaming of my new upcoming rose gold 128gb iphone 6s+ that I preordered last week. I am getting more excited as the day gets closer. And it is harder for me to sleep at night. I have a problem, I know it. Am I the only one with this problem?
I know you're kidding around, but I actually do keep waking up every night around 3 or 4:00 a.m. My alarm isn't until 7:00 a.m. I often read this forum to get back to sleep, and some of my posts will appear at these odd hours. Something about the background of this forum in a dark room knocks me right out. The trick is to put my iPad mini back on the nightstand at the right time or I fall asleep holding it and it bonks me on the nose and I'm wide awake again.

Edit to add, no I'm not waking up over iPhones. I don't know why I've been waking up at such a crazy hour the past couple of months. Must be getting old. That usually explains everything.

Hey, no you are not the only one with this problem. I'm sure plenty of people do but wouldn't say it on here as they'd be laughed at. It's natural to get excited about a new gadget coming, bit like an early Christmas, enjoy the feeling while you can soon enough you'll be old and curmudgeonly like the rest of the grumps in here :)

It's just your excitement for the new product. Everybody get's that.. It is normal, but you should be controlling yourself though. It is just a phone not a marriage :)

I work nights. I usually manage to sleep somehow. However all week I did not sleep either, the first day because of my pre-order and afterwards the excitement because of it, and I blame the days after that on excitement caused by the pre-order (and every day I could not sleep I ordered more and more Apple products!)

I couldnt sleep for days after ordering my LS7 Corvette... I'd stay up watching pics and videos and all the mods I'd do to it lol... That 2 month wait drove me n-u-t-s !:D

So, I can relate...but I've never been so excited about a cell phone..

My suggestion : Listen to music, if you're into it. :) Otherwise enjoy the excitement...nothing medically wrong with you!

Meh, Its the same design and im getting the same space gray (same as my 6) but this time im just going with the Plus. So to me it's not that big of a deal. Im looking forward as to how the iPhone 7 will look, that might make more excited about the phone

You're definitely not the only one. We are about to get our hands on the best iPhone Apple has ever built, why wouldn't we be excited and a little sleepless? I guarantee there are many more like us. But most people won't admit it.

When anything interferes with your normal daily routines, such as sleeping, that usually indicates a problem.
I'm glad that you are excited, as most of us are, about your new phone but it's important that you continue to get enough sleep, have a healthy diet and get plenty of exercise :)

You're not the only one, but seriously its just a phone. Its not going to change your life that much, especially if you have a 5s or a 6.

OP is this your first smartphone? When I moved from a Motorola to the first iPhone in 2007, it was a very exciting experience. I did wake up in the middle of the night to check my shipping order. The possibilities seemed endless compared to my previous phone. I knew it was going to change my life.

If you are literally losing sleep over a nominal upgrade, then yes you should probably reflect on life's priorities. Perhaps volunteer, exercise, find a hobby (outside of buying iphones) or find a mate and procreate? These can do wonders for clearing your mind from the frivolous things in life.

No this isn't my first smartphone, my first "smartphone" was the blackberry 9700 years ago... my first iphone was the 5s.. so I guess im new... I have the gold 6 right now.. I update every year with the NEXT plan with AT&T, so I will be suffering from this problem every year around this time, lol.
