Microsoft KB says:
How do I fix this problem?

The easiest way for you to fix the problem is to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 8.

HA HA funny .... I'm using IE8

Arn,

I'm getting the same messages without the ads (I'm a demi) so I'm not sure it's caused by them unless they are still loading, just not showing up for us.

if anyone is getting this consistently,

AIM me at chaosimint

and we can troubleshoot and see which script is causing it.

thanks

I've been getting this constantly on my work computer (IE7, XP Pro SP3) for two days now, but won't be back there till Monday

How to create the problem 100% of the time

MODS ....

Maybe this will help to track it down.

1) HIT REPLY to any message (don't type any text)
2) Hit BACK button
3) SPLAT

This crashes IE8 every time. It happens at other times and doing other things as well but this forces it 100% of the time on my system which is Windows 7 RTM 64bit (which includes IE8). Google Chrome is no problem.

I'm really glad I'm not the only one having this problem, I was about to throw my work PC out the window last week ;)

Better yet, take it up to the roof of our 40-something storey building and drop it off. There will be more carnage that way.

I cant even open a new window without getting this because iEXPLODE.exe opens MR Forums (with this error)with the new window.Internet Exploder at its best, right?

With no disrespect intended, your comment is ridiculous. As part of my job I am on the web 5-7 hours a day and MacRumors is the ONLY site I have ever visited (in probably the last 10 years) that has ever crashed any version if internet explorer I have used. I am sure there are other sites out there that cause problems but none of the "mainstream" sites I have ever visited have caused this. Sure, there have been some rendering differences between browesers and various sites but the fact that it suddenly started a few days back on this site points to something other then IE being the cause.

Maybe it is mad at me for calling it internet exploder:D

There is 2 sites that I have visited that don't work with it, and MR is one of them.

still need someone to contact me so we can fix this.
