Of course, I've changed nothing on my end other than update. Worked fine up until recently. It will eventually update itself, just very slow. After I posted my last message, the watch updated to a town near where I am that I already passed through before. It's almost like its lagging and updating in order, just 30 mins behind. You know what I mean?

Yeah, will look into it, possible that it's a weird bug on CARROT's end. Have you opened the iPhone app at all recently, by the way? Or do you only use the watch app?

No I usually only use the watch app. Prefer to use another weather app when on the phone but 90% of the time I get my weather off the watch.

I rebooted it for kicks to see what happens. I've now been home for just under an hour and the location on the watch updated at some point over the past 30-45 mins. So maybe it just needed a reboot.

Yeah, and it's possible you need to run the iPhone app every so often just to make sure that the background location service is actually running - maybe iOS kills it every so often, even though it's not supposed to.

Yeah nothing exciting this time, waiting to see what gets announced at WWDC next week!

I just watched the keynote and I'm excited about the changes to the watch and a couple of the changes to iOS. Anything in particular you're excited about?

Some very cool changes coming to the Watch in terms of end-user improvements, will have to wait for the Platform State of the Union and some of the more watchOS-specific sessions to get a better idea of what developer-side changes are coming.

On the iOS side, the rich notifications and the new widgets look very interesting.

Carrot seems to be working fine in WatchOS 3 as-is. Complication has a permanent place on my watch face and now in my dock

That's good news! One watchOS3 user on Twitter said that the main app just kept showing a spinner and never loaded any information - hopefully that's just a bug in the OS.

Interesting. I'm having that issue with another app so I'm wondering if there's something more to it.

Carrot is working great though. Comes right up on the dock bang up to date with little or no delay

Man I'm so stoked for WatchOS 3...

I've seen a couple of stutters here and there in odd places that actually never did before (example: the ring filling animation in the activity app) and one app not working but I'd ascribe those to beta-ness. The core promise, live/near live apps in the dock works like they said it would so far. The new ui makes a lot more sense to me after a 10 minute adjustment period too.

Hey congrats on being featured (or highlighted at least) in the "Designing Great Apple Watch Experiences" presentation!

Hey there, I currently am using yahoo and the default weather app on the Apple Watch, my biggest complaint is that it doesn't update very often. I had a 2 hour trip yesterday and at the end of it stilled showed the original city, I must have passed 20 different cities on the way, the iPhone updated every few minutes but not the watch. I'm looking at purchasing carrot but want to make sure if fits the bill as constantly updating. How often does it update? Thanks

It should update every 30 minutes or so - the timing isn't exact, since Apple Watch complications are woken up for updates only when the system decides it's appropriate (based on various conditions like battery life, connection to wifi, etc). If you do decide to make the purchase, you can submit a request to be added to the beta by tapping the big green button at the bottom of the settings screen on the iPhone app.

Ok thanks maybe I'll give it a try
