I guess I have been completely overlooking the rumored storage, but only offering 64gb and 128gb seems like a mistake. Most people are using "cloud storage", but that content still spread across multiple devices. 128gb and 256gb seems like a more practical choice.

Because I really don't want iPhone X style phone and I want TouchID.
iPhone 11 Pro might be powerhouse and has some great features but to me its overpriced nonsense with few drawbacks for me. (FaceID + OLED being main ones)
So this is a big deal as I will have a phone with latest chip etc. in the form that I love. Simple as that.

This is just the iPhone 6/7/8, right? Why do people care so much?

I was hoping for that but it looks like today is not the day :(

Could this be announced today?

Because the screen will be much smaller than 6 inches??? Massive difference.

And the iPhone 11 is the same as X.... right? Even worse according to some.
Huh?
WTH?
Other than the XR, 11 and 11 Pro max, which current one is larger than 6 inches?
And who in the world said smaller than 6 inches is a small screen now? If that is the case, the X is already a small phone, but in fact it is by no means a "small" phone...

Looks like we’ll be getting some news today:

Fingers crossed for an April release 😁

I've got an SE sitting in its box for when my current SE goes the way of all things.

Small, Apple. There's still a market for small.

Would love nothing more than the second half of 2020/2021 to bring back the small phones. I found my SE in storage, but sad it is only 64gb =/

Pretty much agree here as a 6 owner. I love the design and want to keep Touch ID. For me the OLED would be nice but nbd. What’s unclear to me is how good the camera will be.

Same here, on 6 eager to upgrade. Tried 11 Pro for 2 weeks and hated it. For that price etc. the benefits were not worth it and the drawbacks were awful.
Really don't understand why people like FaceID so much. To me that was actually downgrade.
Hope this will have same A chip as 11PRo and same camera (single). Instant buy day 1 :)

We got a magician in between us.
off topic: How did you even do this so quickly? Im genuinely curious... fragmented in blender, 3dsmax or houdini, etc? After Effects/Photoshop for clone stamping the background behind? Or an even simpler one shot thing
Speaking of magicians, you ever see The Prestige? It's kinda like that; I didn't really do it all that quickly. It can be tedious, but I enjoy plugging away.

In PS, I isolated the case, edited out the parts of the box that obscured it, put them on their own layer so they could remain above, and made a shoddy background.

The 3D model is just an outline of the case that I filled and extruded, and then I applied a displacement texture I'd drawn in PS to get all of the details. I'm better with PS than Blender, so for one-offs, drawing a texture is quicker than modeling geometry.

I love when americans do this nonsense. Price pretax is irrelevant!!!
What matters is what you pay out of your pocket as a customer. I never even understood why its not common everywhere. You see a label and that is what you should pay. I miss this in Canada. Such nonsense
Anyway, back to your topic. VAT in EU is around 20%
Compare that to some states in US where there is zero tax or with average where you have what? About 10%? So yeah, EU still get screwed.

Not Apples fault of course but it still doesn't change the fact that Apple products are cheaper in US. End of story.

On the other hand, we have free healthcare so in the end, you keep your lower prices. Free Healthcare is priceless :)

ahhahahaha

Are you blaming Apple for your BTW?

€449, €78 of which is your VAT. You’re paying $9 more than we are in the States.

For those thinking this is sketchy, this is the box of my XS Max UAG Monarch case. View attachment 902553

interesting. So it wasn’t named XS Max on the box at the time.

new name is not decisive based on box. Wonder if any other incoming stock this weekend will reveal, or if it’s guess work.

iPhone 11 name was shown from packaging iirc?

Not sure which website, product or exchange rate you are using but I am seeing this

Apple.com 64GB iPhone 11 Pro Max : $1196.54
Apple.nl 64GB iPhone 11 Pro Max: €1259.

1 on 1 conversion from dollar to euro makes American iPhone costing 1083.83 euros
1 on 1 conversion from euro to dollar makes Dutch iPhones costing 1389.62 dollars

that’s a HUGE difference.

<snip>
That’s ridiculous. When talking about the price of Apple products, pre-tax is all that matters. Yes, Apple is required to be a tax collector for your government. What does that have to do with Apple? It’s completely irrelevant.
If youR government eliminated VAT and increased income tax by 20% would you still be “getting screwed”? If so, it would still be the case that your government is the one doing the screwing, not Apple.

Complain to your politicians if you think your taxes are too high and you’re getting screwed. But leave Apple out if it, they’ve nothing at all to do with it 🙄

You are mistaken. iPhone SE was $399 at launch in USA and ‎€490 in Europe.

That's quite a difference.
