The case is pretty good so far. The only issue I have is that the my 3rd party audio of my car stereo doesn't fit.

Is there an adapter I can buy or another audio cable I can use?

Yes, try Radtech.

I got my Black. Looks awesome and fits well. I'm saving it as a backup when I eventually mess up my Gray/Gunmetal one. The case is awesome and no issues in my area so far. As I've said before, its like the Apple bumpers mixed with Terminator Metal style. :)

Can anyone with both Jett and e13ctron cases tell me the difference besides price and looks? I'm only asking because I've had to exchange 3 gunmental Jett cases because of several issues including the power button being stuck as well as the side buttons not aligning properly.
I love the case and CS has been excellent, but unfortunately I'm getting tired of constantly returning cases.
I've heard nothing but great reviews on the e13ctron cases. The price is basically the price of 2 Jett cases but if its that much better, I'm willing to spend the money. So if you guys can chime in it'll help me alot in my decision. Thanks!

i dont have the jett but i can say that no one has had as much problems with the electron case as the jett, they will be coming out with a hybrid very soon also. i feel its a much better case just off the reviews, the price is the deal breaker but i guess you get what you pay for

I think we're talking different things here. This allows your existing 30pin to connect to an iPhone with a case. For those who uses a dock or thicker 30 pin and still dock with the case.

Cross my fingers

I ordered a grey one yesterday. I had a bad experience a couple of months ago with the vapor case. Charging port was impossible to get to and the case destroyed the signal. I trust case mate. They are by far the best case company and I trust if the build it it should be good.

Yeah we are, lol. I don't need that. I need another one of these that would fit with the case on so I can plug into my car stereo.

I have both the e13ctron and the Jett (as well as the e13ctron hybrid, Atomic hybrid, and almost every other aluminum case that's come out so far), and as weisjt said above, you really get what you pay for. I prefer the e13ctron over the Jett any day, mainly because of build quality and very little signal degradation. The Jett reduces my signal by anywhere from 12-18dB, whereas the e13ctron all aluminum case only marginally impacts it with an average of 5-7dB of signal loss (the e13ctron hybrid has 0-2dB of signal loss, just for comparison sake). Anyone who understands dB readings knows that 12-18dB loss is huge, and can cause serious issues with use of your phone. Then there's the fit issues that can come with the Jett. As you (and many others) have reported, the Jett's fit can vary greatly from case to case. You also have to usually monkey around with it during install to get everything to fit just right (the placement of the buttons, getting the halves to fit together correctly, etc). Plus, there's reports of them breaking at the plastic junctions in the case. There's none of this with the e13ctron. The e13ctron fits right each and every time due to the unique plastic spacer system it uses.

All in all, if you're wanting an aluminum case, and can afford it, I'd definitely go for one of the "higher priced" ones like the e13ctron (or the Atomic hybrid, if you don't like the e13ctron's design, but you mentioned the e13 specifically). The Jett is an ok aluminum case if you're on a budget, but it comes with a big impact on signal, and potentially all of the fit/quality issues you've read about in this thread.

Update: mine broke

Well, Today I reached into my pocket to discover my buttons were missing. Turns out the case busted. Not impressed. :(

I've opened a warranty request with Case-mate to see if I can get a refund. I'm getting a VeriPhone soon anyways.

After using this case I'm very disappointed. A couple days after I received it, I decided to take apart the case to clean out the insides and to my surprise I noticed the case scratched up my luckylabs wrap. Also, the middle foam pieces were pushed down and exposed the rough unfinished metal. I pretty sure its because of the wrap, so just a heads up for whoever wants to wrap their iphone and use the Jett case.
I sent them back and ordered the e13ctron case. Hopefully I have no issues with this case since it costs double the price of the Jett.

i used carbon wrap and wrapsol under my electron case and had no problems, you pay for what you get in retail.

Slappy, have you tried this adapter with your Jett case?

No. I only use the belkin car charger and it fits fine. I only use the Apple cable at work and home to charge if I run low. The iP4 battery never gets low enough all day at work to charge in the office. Darn thing really has a good battery life. The lowest I have gotten at the end of the day before retiring for bed is about 39% with average use.

Mins is still rocking away. I've taken it apart a few times to clean it. Not much to clean. Yes the lucky labs get dark on one side where the pad meets the strip. Thats what its there for. My snap even the ifrogz lux lean scuffed or ripped my lucky labs from taking out to clean it. I've mentioned that before with those cases. To each their own, but mine has been solid and have no issues for me. :)

+1 on that!

I've been 'rocking' my gun metal/silver Jett case since before Xmas with no issues either:)

Yes, I've taken it apart a few times to blow out the dust inside but everything looks perfect - no jagged edges, broken parts, scratches, nadda.....!!

So impressed with this case that I ordered the black version a couple of weeks ago - should be receiving it next week or so.

I've got my black one also. Same nice feel and build. I save it as a backup, because I know one day, I'm going to do something stupid and my iP4 will go flying across the air and smash into a concrete wall or ground. I happens every year on me. So if this gets completely trashed in looks and build, got my nice backup ready to go! :)

Good idea, just hope the iPhone still works after it crashes into a wall, remember this is a "bumper" style case. ;)

got mine yesterday, installed last night and trying it out today

- the case makes the phone seem alot bigger...
- reception drops a bar of two upon immediate contact of the antenna corner (i have a wrap around the antenna area) so i could see a drop call problem happening... imagine if i didnt have a wrap!
- small gap on the side with volume rocker and mute button... no gap on the other side

its a neat idea, but so far i am not that impressed... i maybe returning this so we'll see

i ordered the black jett

a week or so has passed and im kinda getting used to the case, the reception problem isnt a big deal, i havent had a dropped call but have lost wifi signal from gaming i guess from gripping the phone too hard in landscape mode...

the black one is a semi finger print magnet, and i dont like how dust seems to collect in where the lip and the phone meet... im pretty sure dust gets inside the case since its not a 100% perfect fit... but i have re-adjusted the case and the gap has been reduced.

i guess its a better solution than the bumper, and it doesnt feel like a cheap rubber condom on my phone and wont get loose...

i would rate the case 8/10, and would recommend it over a bumper solution... :)

personally i hate the rubber bumper case, but one thing i do miss is that it does provide a rubber grip for the phone so it doesnt slide off surfaces... this is non existant with this case, and ive been guilty of forgetting my phone is on a table while listening to music on my headphones, and have yanked the phone off the table once or twice from getting up

.....just a heads up for those ordering this case that live in the U.K.

I've just had to fork out an additional £14.25 to the Royal Mail post office for 'Customs charges' on this case(just ordered a black version) - and thats, obviously, additional to the price that I paid for the case itself ($30 I think I paid).

According to Royal Mail - anything shipped and has come from abroad and costs more than £18 in value is liable to Customs charges.....

I had a go at them, as when I purchased my grey/gun metal case from Case-Mate - I didn't pay any charges. Their response was, 'Oh sorry' we must've forgotten to pass the charges onto you'....!!! Yea - great - thanks....!:mad:

Anyway - just be wary that if you live in the U.K. and order this case - you may be liable to Custom charges.

UPDATE - just been 'rocking' my black Jett case today, the buttoms seem to rattle a little more than my silver/gun metal colour Jett case.

.....not 100% sold on the black now that I have it on - the phone just seems to look overly black:rolleyes: At least with the silver one - it kinda mimics the colour of the iPhone itself...! Hmmm - decisions...?!!!!

Black or silver..........?!!!!!!!!!!!:D

Why not do half-silver and half-black?
