That's a great picture. As far as I am concerned, Golden Retrievers are the One True Dog. (I grew up with one, and my dad has two right now... all from the same breeder in England. See them here.)

i agree, they are just such an awesome dog all around. i never met a retriever i didn't like.

and those pictures made me all "awwwwwwwww" :D Mandy is adorable!

Everyone can stop worrying about me, I don't eat dogs.. I have one and he is quite safe ;)

I'm a dog person. Can't stand cats - too aloof. Here are some dogs playing around in Goa - India. Dogs are everywhere in India. Along with cows, elephants...

That's the foulest thing I've heard all week. I don't care about cultural differences, eating a dog or cat is soooo bad! I'd rather eat my hand.
 
I've had both. Dogs hands down. Cats are snobs, impersonal and unloving.

I remembering seeing something on the discovery channel on how dogs can tell which emotions you are experiencing, so if you are sad they'll comfort you, or if you're happy they'll be excited.

Cats don't look this good, and a cat won't let you dress her up for New Years.

I like both, but if I had to choose, it would definitely be cats. I do have a soft spot for boxer dogs though - possibly the least intelligent but most endearing dogs.
 
I like both, really, but we live in a small place and cat is what is right for that. I won't be getting a dog until we have a yard big enough for it/the time to love it right.

Dogs. And only of the Nintendo variety, unfortunately. I have strange reactions to dogs.

But I got scratched by my friend's cat once. Apparently, it didn't like the cat food I gave it. Took one look at the plate and took a swipe at me.

Like was said before, I'm definitely a dog person but can't resist a really cute/cuddly cat.

We have two dogs, a Chocolate Lab and a Shiba Inu... and one cat. Our Shiba has recently gotten it into her head that she should hump our cat... he doesn't seem too pleased by that fact. :)
 
I used to have a cat, but now I have a Dog, I prefer dogs because I am not allergic to them as I am with Cats

We had a golden retriever once.

It was as stupid as a bag of rocks, but I loved her still.

I think if we get a dog, it will most likely be a Belgian shepherd or a border collie.
