Caudabe's iPhone 13 cases

I’ve had the Sheath for my iPhone 6, 6S, 7, X, 12 Pro and 13 Pro. I’d say it’s remained a very minimal case over that time and most changes have mostly related to design changes with the phone.

Agree. I'm not sure why people are complaining about weight. It's feather light. Yes, it's a bit heavier than the prior version without MagSafe, but it's not "heavy" by any means. Still my favorite case of all time and my daily driver.

I also wonder if people are just conflating that with the fact that the iPhone 13 Pro phones are noticeably heavier than before.

v apple leather it's 10 grams heavier
 
Reached out to Caudabe to inquire whether they would ever make a tan/light brown case like the old Magpul days. While they didn't confirm or deny that color, they did say new colors are coming soon. Curious what they will be.

I saw some YouTube videos and Sheath has 40 grams, that is too much. Apple cases have 32 grams and leather case only 26 grams.
I'm currently considering that I get Sheath, but I like very minimal cases. Pitaka MagEZ Pro is too big for me so I'm afraid that Sheath will be too big and heavy for me.
 
Anyone have a pic of a 13 or 13 mini in Midnight with the gray Sheath case?

I already have the black but wanting to see what it looks like in gray before I order.

You’re good! I ended up ordering the navy sheath for my midnight 13. Excited to finally try out the case after hearing so many good things about it.

Also, regarding your original comment in this thread, I bet the gray sheath with the midnight phone would look nice!

thanks for the info. was considering to get a navy. i guess i'll stay with the black sheath i'm using now.

Mine has. I emailed them just yesterday with that exact complaint. My sheath purchased on Black Friday feels sanded down and nowhere near as grippy. Hoping for a warranty replacement.

yeah the lighting doesnt help.

the color had faded and the grip had smoothed out on the older one, which i got during black friday last year. the new one has that patented caudabe sheath grip and a deep, dark color.

I feel the same about the apple leather case being extremely light. I know it’s been awhile, but did you find anything that is as light or lighter than the apple leather case that still provides some protection?

I have the Spigen Mag Armor case
It's slightly heavier than the Apple leather case but just slightly.

I haven't dropped the phone yet (knock on wood) but Spigen cases are known to offer a good lightness/protection ratio
