if that was so, why would Verizon's CEO be whining to the WSJ about how bad he wants the iPhone on his network and "how ready they are" for it?...if he had an iPhone deal in his pocket then he wouldn't have to make any statements to the press, he'd simply wait until they announced...and since you suggest that AT&T still has exclusivity then Apple definitley is not gonna piss off their partner by making a phone that works on the competition's network...the proof for me that AT&T still has exclusive rights to the iPhone for the forseeable future is the fact that AT&T is not stocking up on android phones, only a few of lesser specs not the big time droids...and technically AT&T hasn't even accepted the N1 on it's network even though google sells one that works on AT&T 3G that hints of a continued partnership between Apple and AT&T

Yes, how verizon is open for talks with Apple and how they can suppor an iPhone on their network etc....
