I can't recall ever using a touch interface other than Apple's that wasn't either sluggish or clumsy

My thoughts exactly. Especially the inertial scrolling, I can't stand to use it. I really don't understand how Android sells so well with how awful of a user experience it is. Clearly people buying Android devices are those who have never used iOS.

For the 4th time. Smoothness comes from hardware acceleration. Android 4.0 has it now. Windows Phone 7 has it. iOS has it. Pretty sure Windows 8 will have it.

Apple would never allow that product to market acting as clumsy as it is. Thats why apple is apple; and everyone else is just putting it out there to show every damn limitation their products have.

Can we have a 6th? Did you even read the post, or are you a bot.

Well you did say: "Apple would never allow that product to market acting as clumsy as it is."

Pretty sure you meant the touch screen lag in the video.

According to Diane Hackborne, Googles software engineer for Android, It has always had some hardware acceleration since before version 1.0 and full hardware acceleration since version 3.0

She also states several times hardware acceleration does not solve all the problems of lag for the graphic interface.

I'm willing to bet that I'll never face being forced to work in a non-ergonomic job environment. I'm just lucky to live in the US, and California, where we have laws to protect us at work. :)

...yeah. I really have nothing to say to this. So here's an Arrested Development animated gif.

Yap, because there are so much phones with 3.x, no?

Exactly like in other OSes

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 5_0_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/534.46 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.1 Mobile/9A405 Safari/7534.48.3)

Apple said during the iPad into keynote that they've made several prototype touchscreen MacBooks themselves but they hated it.

- Sure, 1920x1080 (FullHD) is fine for smaller screens, but it's rather low for a 27" display, I think. The resolution on Apple's 27" iMac is 77% higher.
Rather low?
If it's good enough for my 55" TV (which I do hook up to my iMac on occasion), it's good enough for a 27" screen.
Most desktop screens of that size run at 1600x900 or lower.

Interesting color palette used for the background image, looks somewhat familiar ;) .

Anyway, I have been begging for something like this for my Kitchen for YEARS now, and would happily snatch that product up as it stands. A large touch screen computer that can be used for calling up cooking videos, movies, websites, or any other digital content is exactly what I am after for that space in my home.

Really hoping Apple will come out with one of their own, however, I would accept something from HP and Microsoft, so long as I can access my iTunes Library as well.

- Yes, rather low. It's another matter for TVs, where you sit quite far away and therefore don't require as high a PPI as you do when you are closer to the screen.

I just know I wouldn't want to use a 27" 1920x1080 display. In fact, I think Apple is pushing it with that resolution on their low-end iMacs (21.5").

When did he say it and when did the video iPod come out.

If it was a a period of months that's one thing. If we are talking 2-3 years then at the time that he made the comment that was perhaps a true comment. And then tastes changed. Happens all the time

Of course taste changes. Nothing wrong with it. It was in response to some creepy people on this forum elevating S.J. (and Apple) to some kind of Jesus like prophet who is (was) never - ever - wrong about anything ;)

I feel limited trying to watch a Blue Ray DVD on my gf's MBP (we both do extended work related traveling). So much for Apple being "cutting edge" or industrie leading. My girlfriend, a longtime Mac fan, is doing most of her productivity work on my Alienware M17x - admitting that it's faster, easier to use and that it has a much better display. But hey, she still uses her MBP for youtube.

EDIT: we also watch Blue Ray's on that M17x ;)

Any Windows Phone.
If the Nokia Luma 800 had a dual core CPU... i would have bought one... it's really a nice OS and nice machine... If I ever need another phone in additional to my 4S, i will choose Nokia's WP7 phone.
